For those who have made requests at SSR-are they usually accommodated?

We are renters and I would like to ask for the Grandstand area for a few reasons-pool, close to restaurant, etc. I know that requests are just that and nothing is guaranteed but I was wondering for those who have stayed at SSR resort-have you been successful in having your building requests met? And is it more of a general area ie: Grandstand, Spring etc. or are you more likely to get a certain area if you are specific with room numbers?

Any help or advice is really appreciated -TIA

I requested Congress Park, DTD view 2 times and have gotten it both times. Hopefully we will be just as lucky this pre-Thanksgiving trip. The first 2 times I reserved at SSR I made no request and ended up in the Carousell area both time which kinda bummed me out!

We have gotten our request EVERY time we have stayed there. I think we have stayed there 4 times.

We have had pretty good luck with our requests at SSR also. I do notice that making a request can cause your room to be ready later in the day. Our latest room ready time at SSR was 6:30 but they did give us a balloon.

I only did a request at the time of on line check in. I requested being close to transportation, and sure enough, It was noted at check in and our room was right across from the Congress park bus stop. Room was ready before 11AM too!

We srayed at SSR last month. We requested Grandstand Golf Course View & our request was honored.

As SSR is our home resort we tend to stay there quite a bit. Our requests have been honored most of the time. There have been a few times that our request was not honored but we had good alternative locations. We normally request Congress Park, the Springs, or the Grandstand depending on the purpose of our trip.

I am getting so excited for our Dec. trip It will be our first SSR stay and we're looking forward to some relaxing and enjoying the resort.

we've stayed at SSR 5 or 6 times and always gotten our request. But it wasn't luck, it was because when we checked in I told them I had put in a request and I went over what building I wanted to be in with the check in CM. They then pulled up what was available and assigned us to that building. Sometimes you gotta make your own luck.

We've stayed at SSR 4 times and all 4 times we've been in CP per request. However, the most recent stay (10/14) somehow we were assigned to the paddock. When I asked the CM to switch us to CP, she was honest and said there were no DTD views available, but we didn't care. I'd rather have a bad view and be in CP than a beautiful view in the middle of nowhere. No offense meant to those who enjoy the paddock....it's just too far away for our liking.
