At the beginning of the pandemic. Have you made your way through all the food and TP yet? We haven't and I'm sure ready to see it all gone. I want my storage space back.
Yes, that's how we ended up with all the extra stuff, as well. A month of scavenger hunts for groceries put us in panic mode. I'm going to take a box to the food bank. Even though we would eventually use it all up, it feels like the right thing to do.I got a little freaky in the spring, when I'd make a bj's cart for 20 items and by the time a shopper did the shop , I was down to 12 things. And staying up to midnight to get a shopping time for walmart pickup. Then make a cart and not know what I'd get.
I don't want to deal with that again.
Our air hockey table is covered in TP. So, believe me I get it.Food, Clorox wipes and paper towels - yes.
TP, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer and napkins (albeit brown Taco Bell style lol) - no.
Funny, we moved in May and our new neighbors were on their porch when we were unpacking. I sheepishly told them that if they needed any TP to come on over. I was SO embarrassed because I didn't even realize how much I had until we moved.
I've been pretty good about rotating frozen items. Our freezer looks normal at this point. It's just the canned goods that are overwhelming me.We rotate it and replenish as we go. That way we get everything eaten and nothing goes bad and we keep our stocks if we need them.

We have a medical reason to still be in isolation, while all the normies are back out in the world living their lives. I don't feel bad about having extra items while we wait out the pandemic at home. Thanks, y'all. You made it really easy for us normies to actually buy stuff we need.![]()

You're probably right. If the cases keep rising the way they are, who knows how long we will be stuck in this house. We will eventually work our way through everything. You might want to hold off. I just was a blurb on, I *think*, GMA, where they said stores are reporting that people are stockpiling again for the second wave. Some items, they are already running low on.
Since my freezer is small, I had to restock a few times. The one thing I was worried the most about replenishing was toilet paper. The toilet paper manufacturers and the stores assured us that there would be plenty eventually.
But, I noticed, when they were in stock, it was no longer on sale. E.V.E.R. The ONE time I saw Target have enough of my brand online, I didn't buy enough packs. I didn't want to be greedy, in case other people were looking for it. Well, you know who ended up looking for it a couple months later, when again, it was no where to be found? ME.
It never was back in at my local stores or online the way it was promised. I was chasing around town trying to get my brand. Now, I know better than to listen to the manufacturers & stores saying they'll have enough. Fool me once shame on them. Fool me twice, shame on me. I'm stocked up for a while now.
If I had a car, in the rear view window, I'd have a sign saying, "I brake for toilet paper."![]()
I don't think you understand. My family also has medical reasons to limit contact. But we didn't feel like that required stockpiling 8 months worth of toilet paper. We have a medical reason to still be in isolation,
I understand. We are in full isolation, not limited contact. And we have about 3 months worth of TP, not 8. But thanks for the judgement.I don't think you understand.
