I'll transfer these to DU after our Feb 06 Magic Cruise

We are doing the 3/24/2007 western. We got $5242 with $200 onboard credit through DCL, but that was after our 10% from booking credit and $200 onboard credit from rebooking while still onboard this year. The ******** never called me back for a quote, so I think we will stick with this. It is a CAT 9 for 2 adults and 2 children, 7 and 3. No transfers or insurance.

Cannot do the quote thinghy.

Becausedisneysaysso - did you book August 2007? or 06? Very, very curious. Thanks.

I was also surprised when I went in and ran the same exercise, and indeed, the 3/3/07 cat. 8 quote for the three was us was $100 above **********. I drive to the port, and buy lower cost travel insurance through access america from my TA, so I have to go into DCL's system to ratchet their quote down. They might be hurting themselves to post--as a default--a quote inclusive of transfers and their high cost insurance.

I got $2790 for 3(cat 9) on Jan 20 - 7 days from Costco but am still waiting to see what AAA comes up with.

We are paying $5005.92 for a Cat 6, March 3-10, 2007. That price is with our 10% rebooking bonus. We will also get a 200.00 onboard credit from DCL and a 100.00 onboard credit from DU. This is for 2 adults and a 7 year old and 12 year old.(at time of sailing)

You don't even want to know what what a Cat.3 for 4-day April '07 (2 adults/2kids) came out to be :rotfl2:

We paid $4990.92 for a category 6 (2 adults, 2 kids under 10) on the 03/03/07 Eastern Magic. That includes our 10% onboard booking discount...we transferred it from an October 2006 sailing (which had been $4279.52 for the same category). We thought it was worth the difference to NOT be sailing during hurricane season! We will also be getting a $200 onboard credit from DCL.

 Kim!

Out of curiousity, how do those Cat.9 prices compare to '05 and '06 prices?

Hey, you are getting yours for 15.00 cheaper than ours! I know that you have already chatted with my DH(alanapapa) on our cruise meet! What stateroom are you in? We are in 6548.

Do you mean category 6? We were in category 6 for the West Coast Cruise and we're in the same for the March 07 Eastern cruise. It's hard to compare them price-wise because the West Coast cruise was in July with the high summer rates, and the Eastern is in early March before the spring break prices hit. So we are paying quite a bit less for our 07 cruise. Not sure how March 06 compares to March 07 because we weren't looking to cruise that early. October 06 was about $700 less than March 07.

When are you cruising again?

We'll be in 6060, the same cabin we had on our West Coast cruise. The kids say they only want to stay in "our" cabin! :rotfl2:

we are going on a 7 day 3/29/06 eastern ( 2 adults and 2 kids under 10) in a cat 10 for $2,842.

5300 total includes transportation. 2 of us Can't understand why so much complaining about pricing. Think this is cheaper than 2006 pricing. Also 2500 for Oct 28, 2006

We'll be close to each other then. Across the ship and up 6 cabins!

Just switched ours to 4/21/07 Western. 3 adults cat 7 no transfers with 10% discount and $200 room credit it's $4415.84. Really want May 07, but taking this for now before the prices get higher and don't think we will be able to afford whatever they are doing for summer 07.

Hold on to your hats :earseek: late April '07 Cat.3 = 5 figures and it's the week AFTER spring break.

Do the prices typically drop in the summer?

Kim- we are trying to find something for next summer with our friends (and any other DIS'ers from the Mexico cruise that want to join in the fun!) - and like your kids, I want MY cabin. Trouble is, so do a lot of other people :confused3 what's up with that? Next time I think I'll leave my clothes in the drawers. :rotfl2:
