For those just back.. BCV and room ready policy

I know I am dreaming big time here. But I am hoping (like I said dreaming) that our room will be ready when we check in bright and early the morning of the 31st. I have no expectations that it will be.

I was just wondering for those of you just back from BCV.. was your room ready at check-in? And if so what time did you check in?

We checked in on Saturday May first at around 10 am. Our one bedroom unit was ready!

We checked in to BCV on Friday, May 7 at 9:00 am and our one bedroom was ready. We also had a two bedroom which was not.

We usually wind up checking late, so our rooms are almost always ready.
The one time we switched rooms, our second room wasn't ready until early afternoon - unless we wanted to take a room geared for wheelchair use.

In all of our trips so far our room has never been ready until close to 3:00pm.

We normally try to checkin around 12:30. Maybe all of the available rooms are gone by then and we are waiting for a room to be ready.

You are checking in on Memorial Day, my bet is they might be full the night before or close to it, which would hurt your chances of getting a room early. Have a great time!

That is exactly what I was thinking too DebbieB. Oh well. Maybe pixiedust will be abundant that day and will spill out and we will get lucky.

We checked in on May 1st also, around 2:00. Our room was not ready until about 4:00. They said it was pre-assigned. We had a 2BR dedicated.

We also checked into BCV on May 1, at 9:30AM. Our studio wasn't ready. We didn't check back until 3PM and it was ready then.

Our room was ready at check-in!!

but that was at midnight!! Tee Hee!!

BTW I called that morning to let them know we were arriving so late and ease my fears that we would get the bottom of the barrel room (there were lots of bad room reports at that time). I was told we "currently have a pool view room". I interpurrted that as meaning it is pre-assigned unless they needed to be switched.

We checked in on May 9 around 1pm (I think) and our studio was ready.

In Dec 2002 we checked in at 9:00 and room was ready by 10:00. In Oct 2003 we checked in at 7:30 and room was ready by 2:00. Both times we were transferring from another resort and leaving for the parks for the day, that's why we were so early.

I really think it's the luck of the draw!

We checked in at 1am for BCV Part I - a 2BR lockoff - #373/375 combined - that was ready (we came in at 11:30pm into MCO from Toronto)

For BCV Part II - a 1BR - #357 - that was ready when we rolled in from AKL at 11am on a Friday

I think there is a luck of the draw involved

As for room ready policy, our rooms were preassigned and we were not offered any choice
