For those driving to WDW, how many hours does it take for everyone?

nowellsl, :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: She was asking how many hours to wdw from Perry Ga.but thats ok dsis tried to tell me her DS made it from michigan to florida in 11 hours driving his semi. This was her trying to convince me to drive straight through. I just rolled my :rolleyes2 and told her he had to be driving welllllllllllllll over 100 mph all the way with no stops. :lmao: :lmao: . All she could say was ohhh. Susan

First trip took us 32 hours (each way) including all stops but not the rest stop.

Second trip took us 36 hours -- took a different route, had approx. 2 hour delay due to rush hour traffic in sleet/freezing rain. Also took a detour to Myrtle Beach. The trip back was 27 hours, including stops but not the sleep stop -- this was another route.

This time we will alter the route again. I'm guessing it will take around the same time. We like the drive.

I think I have everyone beat! Coming from El Paso, TX we would have to drive about 25 hrs. I don't know if we will drive or fly. We'll see what's less expensive.

About 19 hours. Last time we drove, we stopped the first night. This year we're going to go straight through. We'll divide it up among three drivers (if DH will relinquish control, lol) so I don't think it will be too bad.

We drove in 2002 & 2003. It took 17 hours to get down there from NYC & 20 hours to come back to NYC..I guess we weren't as anxious to get home!

It's about 13-14 hours from Northern Kentucky. DH works nights so we usually leave after work and drive right through. It is much easier on the girls that way too.

Pooh's pal.....thanks. That sounds about right. We drove through last year and on the way down there and it actually took us longer because of back up traffic for a few hours because of a bridge that was washed out from a mudslide..........any ways it seemed like forever! On the way back we tried it again, and one time my DH said you have to drive and I said I can't, so we pulled over at a rest stop just for a short nap........2 1/2 hours later :lmao: we woke up and drove the rest of the way. The kids have no problem since they have their headsets for their own music and dvd movies to watch the whole time!!

I enjoy seeing how many miles it takes for some Disney fans to travel!!

It takes us about 15 hours. We leave in the late afternoon/early evening and arrive early the following day. We'll be on our way in just 2 weeks!!!

We live in the most SE corner of MI. We are driving again this summer to PopCentury. We're leaving June 18 at 9pm and our reservations begin on the 21. Dave Hunters Along I75 is a must!

midgeD79, I never leave home without Dave. Susan

It takes us 7-8 hrs depending on stops and traffic. Our last trip to Orlando we were stopped on the FL Turnpike for about an hour! I mean dead stopped, everybody walking around! After reading all your times, I feel blessed to live as close as we do.

13 to 14 hours .gas and one potty break per state and bring our own food and drinks.and yes i have lead in my right shoe. i'm about 10 to 15 miles nw of baltimore,md :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl:

My average is about 25 hours. Have driven it a couple times, once with a boyfriend who only stopped for gas and potty ! That was literally it! We packed all our food, coffee in a thermos and everything! Then a couple times with DBro who needed a few more stops - he couldn't sit that long! Trying to convince DH to try driving just once, but he doesn't seem to be biting .....

:moped: It takes us 9.5 hours from the Greensboro, NC area. After looking at some of your drive times I fell almost like a local!

We live in central Missouri and it requires 18 hours of driving. On our last trip we drove straight through each way and will probably do it on our next trip.

an average of 13 hours from just outide of Lexington, KY.

From Chicago it took us about 19 hours. We have done both, stopped and drove straight through. This year we are flying though :)

24 hours, we're going straight through.

I'm going to purchase this book before I go (can't believe I never did before). What was it from the book that you feel was helpful for you? Hotel, restaurants, gas stations, construction? Thanks ;)
