As many of yoy, just like me, want to do some shopping while down at Orlando, I reckoned I'ld share my experience using Lynx.

When staying at SSR or OKW (but esp. SSR) it is SO easy to use Lynx to go to the Florida Mall. Don't be fooled by the schedule saying DTD West Side. There is a bus stop there, but there also is one right across the street from EoS at marketplace. That leaves you with a busstop in walking distance from SSR congress park (where we're staying) or from the DTD marketplace busstop. We hopped on the 111, and it took us about 20 minutes to get to Florida Mall. Very fast, efficient, very nice helpfull drivers (used to all of those tourists :rotfl: ) and most of all; CHEAP. Didn't even take as long as we do when bussing to MK. Great place to shop by the way, esp. Old Navy. Bus stops right across the parking lot from FM.

Anybody wondering about accessibility; also :thumbsup2 Don't know about ECv's though. The tie down spots are right behind the driver on both sides, so it does require some sharp turns to be made. No problem at all for my powerchair, won't be for a manual chair but obviously would be for an ECV.

Yes, the Lynx buses are fab. We were staying at The Springs at SSR so it was easier for us to walk to the West Side bus stops. :thumbsup2

We are planning on staying at OKW so this is really interesting - we have caught the Lynx bus before to take us to Seaworld from the TTC - also pretty good.

Thanks for the info, we may give them a go this time. So where abouts roughly is the DTD Buss stop?

Another vote for the lynx buses here :)
We relied on them heavily for our holiday last year as we stayed on IDrive, and they did not disappoint :)

We are just back and used the Lynx bus 111 to go to Florida Mall too. It is fab and so easy. We stayed at POFQ so it was just a short bus ride from the hotel to DTD where we crossed the road to catch the bus. The trip cost the three of us $12 in total as opposed to $90 by taxi. We were there in 20 - 25 mins - fab!
The DTD bus stop is straight across the road from the main Marketplace arch or if you get off one of the Disney buses, you just veer off to the left for a few meters to cross the road. The main road is straight in front of you. Look to and walk to your right and you will see a large intersection. When you get to the intersection, cross the road. To your left and to your right there are Lynx stops. You want the stop to your right. The 111 arrives every half hour at 26 and 56 mins past the hour. They come back from Florida Mall at 28 and 58 mins past the hour.
If you want to catch the bus at Westside, it probably arrives 5 mins earlier there, where the Disney buses used to leave from.
If you are staying on I Drive you can catch the Lynx 42 at or close to lots of the I Ride stops. We caught the 42 right outside Homewood where we stayed before staying on site.

Does anyone know the no for the bus to Seaworld and how long that takes?

Thanks in advance

It's the 50 and it takes about 20 minutes from the TTC.

We've used Lynx buses for our past three trips and never had any problems. In April we did ten days, and spent $36 for the two of us (for comparison, that's 3 days of parking fees alone).

Thank you - that sounds ideal as we're planning to go to Seaworld & Aquatica on our next trip.

The 50 and the 111 follow identical routes within WDW. You can pick the 50 up from Downtown Disney too - either westside or just over the road from the Marketplace.
