For the Love of Disney - Dec 5-13

Just found your TR and subbing! Your family is too cute! I love how spirited your little one is!

Your first day sounds great! I love that second pic of the castle all lit up. And I can't get over how cute Caya is!!! It's exciting that you found something already that she loves so much. It seems to suit her personality!:goodvibes

:worship::worship:

LOVE the pictures of the Polynesian!:goodvibes The rooms look so nice! We know it'll never happen but my family is secretly hoping they will make DVC villas at the Poly.

I always loved the torches too. It was so neat coming "home" at night and seeing them all lit. Ahhhh good times. :goodvibes

ETA: OK, seeing your pictures made me decide I am definitely going to the Poly sometime during our trip in April (I even gave you a shoutout on my PTR!). Must go back!!!

Your room at the Poly looks huge. We stayed at CR and I don't think our room was that big. I just adore the poly. Sorry to hear you didn't get to ride splash sounds like it was a little chilly for it. Your girls look so alike. They're so pretty.:lovestruc

Awww, thanks! They are pretty sweet too! :lovestruc Our room was big - not one of the bigger rooms at Poly but it still had plenty of space. The last time we were there we were at Port Orleans Riverside, there is quite a difference and I love that there is a door on each end. It just makes it feel more spacious and open. It will be hard to ever stay anywhere else.

great updates Nikky! I LOVE :lovestruc the factoid your shared about MK--I had not read it yet. I can completely understand it though! I bet it was in Hidden Magic book? I received it for Christmas from DH and I am really looking forward to reading it! :goodvibes

You were sure busy your first half day there! Two parks in one half day :worship: :worship: Poor Cayla with the TOT--I tried it once as an adult and I have no desire to go on it again! I hope she continued warm back up to rides as the trip progressed.

Your room at the Poly is just gorgeous--I would love to stay there someday. I would love to go to Hawaii too. :rotfl: I love the favorites of the day btw. I plan on doing something similar too. :goodvibes

Looking forward to the next update. :surfweb:

I think it was the Hidden Magic book but not positive - I read sooo many books before our trip! :rotfl:

As gorgeous as the Poly is I can't even imagine how amazing Hawaii would be. That's actually how I ended up staying there the very first time. My parents went to Hawaii on their honeymoon and again a couple more times...when it was time to go to Disney, Poly was an easy choice for my parents and we've all been in love ever since. I have a feeling that will be as close as I ever get to Hawaii! ;)

Aww, Im don't think that I would be able to ride either  I am sure that one day, you will be able to in honor of him! Your room looks amazing. Cant wait to hear about your next day!!!

I did actually ride it - the next day when I had my sisters with me! It was HARD but I'm glad I did it!

You are at Disney right now as I type this - having a fabulous time, I'm sure. I'm saying a little prayer that time slows down for you! Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back! :lovestruc

There is nothing like the Poly at night, is there? So magical.

It has a certain something (at night in particular) that cannot be matched by any other WDW resort.

You are so right! And it's not just one thing - it's all the little things that work together to create the perfect ambiance!!! Makes my heart flutter just thinking about the magic! I WANT TO GO BACK NOWWWWWWWW! :lovestruc

I am enjoying your tr so far. Thanks so much for sharing pics of your room at the poly. It looks wonderful. I hope to stay there some day. :cloud9:

I was there the same week as you so I can't wait to compare trips.

I wonder if we ever ran into each other! :confused3 I can't wait to read your TR and find out! I'm off to check it out now!!!

WOW!! Lots of updates today!!! YAY!!! Your pics make me miss the Poly soooo bad!! And I know what you mean--I don't know if I can stay anywhere else now that I've stayed at the Poly!! :lovestruc What building were you in? (sorry if you've already mentioned this--I couldn't remember) I can't believe Caya rode TOT! None of us will step foot on that ride!! YIKES!!! And those pics of the castle at night--WOW!!! I can't wait to be there in person next year!!

Hi Becky - We were in Raratonga. I was a little disappointed when they told me the building but left it in God's hands to put us in the right place. It was wonderful. It was right next to the Great Ceremonial house overlooking the quiet pool. We enjoyed being so close to the main building but still far enough away from the hustle and bustle.

When you go - take more pictures of Poly. I thought I took a ton but now that I'm home I wish I had more. I can live through you after May! :rotfl:

Hey Nikky,
How is everybody? Hope you all are doing well.
Stay warm. We got snow flurries last night down here.
Have a good day!

Your pictures of the castle are gorgeous. I love the way it looks at Christmas. Your room was beautiful...we have never stayed at the Poly, but it's on our list for future trips!!:thumbsup2

We are really enjoying your TR

Hi KC (I don't want to spell your name wrong so I'm spelling it KC ;))! The castle was breathtaking when lit up - I guess it is when it's not lit up too, huh?!?:rotfl:

We feel so blessed that she can cheer. It has done amazing things for her already and she just turned 5. She is the kind of kid that needs to be do something ALL the time (got that from Daddy) and this really helps. Even when we are home and she gets bored, she can cheer. :cheer2:

Oh I'm secretly hoping the same thing!!! I don't know where the heck the could put them. Well...who needs a TTC, maybe that can just build over that and it would still be on the monorail! :rotfl: You should go to Poly...the last time we went we stayed at POR but we took some time and went monorail shopping and snacking. I LOVE exploring the resorts!

Awww, I'll heading to our PTR now!!! :lovestruc

Subbing!

Hey! I have been MIA on the DIS lately but now I am back and all caught up. I cannot believe the guy spitting next to you on the plane. I would've been a brat and told the flight attendant! I am like you and always order ginger ale on the plane, too!

Glad you enjoyed the start of your trip and I agree that the Poly is amazing!

Hey Nikky,
How is everybody? Hope you all are doing well.

Barbara

Hi Barbara! We are all doing great - trying to stay warm. We got about 6 inches of snow Thursday so the girls (and husband) had 2 snow days. I stayed home the first day with them but braved the crazy drivers Friday. I'm done with winter now, Christmas is over, I've seen a perfectly beautiful snow...I'm ready for green leaves and pretty flowers now! :lovestruc I'm off to get caught up on your TR now...I scared I'm getting behind! ;)
