? for the "locals" about grocery stores

LOCAL here saying Publix. The Winn Dixie by me is dirty and rundown and you have to check the expiration dates on everything. The only time I shop at WD is when they have a great deal on soda and thats the only thing I buy there.

Publix hands down. And the ones in the "tourist' areas tend to be higher. For instance, the ones on 192 in the hotel area have higher prices than the one we go to at John Young and Columbia.

Meat and produce is nice and fresh. Good service.

For best prices then, which location would you recommend for us staying in Emerald Island?

Also is it enough savings to go further away from WDW area to account for the extra gas that would be used?

I don't know the one you are all talking about on 192, I go to the one near Palm Parkway. It's absolutley clean, great selection and easy, quick drive to WDW area. Nice wine selection too.
I never shop WD at home but I ahve been hearing their commercials lately. They say their stores are getting makeovers and I have noticed it in some stores. Just an FYI.
