Just remember Steph that this is a big deal for your parents, too! It sounds like they could definitely be giving you some more time and space, but I have to assume that they love you and are very excited for you and Josh.

And if you don't want to be touched, no problem. Just tell them (again). Each pregnancy is gonna be different and yours will not be like your moms.

Definitely tell the nurse/doc that you don't want them in...this is your first baby and you and Josh need to do this together!

Your parents will be there to see baby boy soon enough! They don't have to be there immediately!

I know.. I try to tell mom politely to back off and stuff but she gets all emotional.. its very irritating.. i know theyre excited but they dont need to be pains about it!

better sleep now -- you won't be for the next 3 months or more!!

i keep telling him that.. he reminds me of the DL commercial where the kids are all "im too excited to sleep"

nope.. cant sleep with the contractions.. but when I do finally fall asleep mom or dad will call to say something they have already said a billion times or ask something they have already asked and gotten the same answer to a billion times..

Doing OK...just started to get that, when am I going to be not-pregnant feeling! Some of my preggo clothes aren't fitting really well (keep sliding down my tummy) and I can't stand that. May need to get some more clothes but hate to do that for only like 10 more weeks to wear them.

I'm struggling with a theme for the baby's room...the walls are light blue and the blinds are a sea-green. So I thought I'd do an ocean theme ... but couldn't find a border with the right look.

yeah theyre just being rediculous about going to my DRs appt and stuff like that.. if it was one of the "ok come in do weight and blood pressure all that jazz KEEP YOUR CLOTHES ON" appts i would be ok with them going.. but they were never around for them and they knew when they were gunna happen..

Be patient with them Steph, when its your first grandchild you want to be part of it. I can't say I would want to be in the room when Kelly was having an internal either, I feel that is private but I sure got to that hospital quick when they told me she was in labor !!!! Hope you go on your own before Monday! Looks like we all missed the mark guessing your date of delivery!

Then switched to Disney castle but you can't find the castle border or wall art without princesses, fairies or unicorns. (Yeah, I'm being picky).

Then went back to Ariel, but all the borders and wall cling things have like too much Ariel on them...I want to 2-3 Ariels total and more of the Sebastian, Flounder and other sea creatures but all I'm finding is Ariel/Ariel/Ariel.

THE DR SAID SHE IS 2 CM DIALATED AND THEY STRIPPED HER MEMBRANE AND SAID IF SHE DOES NOT GO NATURAL, THEN SHE WILL GO BACK ON MONDAY AND THE INDUCTION WILL BE SCHEDULED FOR WED




In looking at the calendar, if she does not get induced until late in the day on Wed, then looks like we will be sharing a bday

It's going to be very hard to leave them. Trent is sad that I have to leave and keeps whining about me leaving. I try to tell him I won't be away too long and I'll come back again. Then he loses track of time so it's okay. He was too cute when I got here he said Mom Mom I've been waiting for you to come for ages!

so the dr appt sucked because that is hecka painful! i cant wait till my contractions are regular and I can go to the hospital and make em drug me up! i told the DR if the baby doesnt come soon im going to reach in there and get him myself! but yeah.. mom and dad went to the appt with us.. i dont know why.. it was a waste of their gas to go from fairfield to vacaville (for no reason because i didnt let them in the room with me.. hello its a little private when some dr is all up in your junk) then back to fairfield then back thru vacaville to go home.. now vacaville isnt that far from Fairfield but its still a good amount of gas when your talking about having to borrow gas money to make it back to clearlake and back here again.. they went home today and are coming back down here tomorrow.. where is the smilie blowing his brains out because thats what I feel like right now... we were sitting in the waiting room and mom was trying to touch me and stuff while I was having contractions and I told her to stop and she was like "but pregnant woman like their back rubbed during contractions.. its soothing" well not me.. i dont want to be touched or talked to or anything during a contraction.. well she got all butthurt when I told her to stop and I was being very snappy with her... they were asking me questions that wouldnt be answered till after I saw the DR.. duh guys I dont know yet.. then dad says "you dont mind if your mother goes back there with you right?" I said "yes I do mind" and he was like "well she knows all the questions to ask" i just shrugged.. its a private and uncomfortable thing being poked at.. feeling like the DR is up to his armpit in your junk.. and mom always trys to talk over me at the DRs.. when the nurse came to get me she asked while the door was still open "how you doing today" and I am not rude with them or anything I was starting to say "been better" or something like that and I hear mom from the waiting room all loud and obnoxious "miserable" irritating....

So now I'm thinking of doing a Disney world theme -- I have this cool huge framed map of WDW with the characters on it. I got it many years ago and that could go on one wall and then I could make the other 3 walls each a "land" of Disney...but not sure if it would look like a cohesive room or like I slapped together 4 different things.

AGH! I feel like for all my creativity, I'm striking out on this one...

Maybe I'll just have to make it all myself instead of buying it...

I would have loved to have been in the delivery room with Kelly but she and Steve both said they wanted to share this special moment alone and I had to respect that so I was out eating when she was close to delivery and I rushed there and missed it by about 10 minutes. I was so upset at not having been at the hospital but as far as in the delivery it was their choice to not have anyone in there so you have to respect your kids' wishes.
