Hello! How is everyone doing?

My favorite moment from the day....The kids had a whole thing to copy from the board for journal today about what Veteran's Day is. Then they were supposed to be writing about why we appreciate soldiers. A first grader calls me over to check her journal and the whole thing is about not eating meat, saving animals, the fact that her uncle is a vegetarian, and that she would be a vegetarian if she could still eat corn dogs. I'm reading it like what. the. heck?????? I asked her to explain it and she said "the board said to write about vegetarian's day." It was so cute and innocent. I loved it!

Before work today, I did some Christmas shopping.

I got Trent a lightning McQueen Car that wears army goggles, some new Thomas the tank engine train that just came out and a Disney Mater Racing Set.

I bought two pair of jeans and a cute top for Disney

I got Trent two long sleeve shirts for Disney...One is handy Manny and the other is Lightning McQueen

He's really sore. He thought he would be able to go back to light duty on Friday at work, and the Dr wasn't thrilled with it but he did it. He ended up coming home yesterday because he hurt so much he had to come home. I figure a few more days of taking it easy and he should be fine. THank you for asking.

He's really sore. He thought he would be able to go back to light duty on Friday at work, and the Dr wasn't thrilled with it but he did it. He ended up coming home yesterday because he hurt so much he had to come home. I figure a few more days of taking it easy and he should be fine. THank you for asking.

The boys' hates are great, good job. I think its fun when the schools let the kids do something different. Trent gets special days like that too and Kelly always tells me all about it. I think it's so nice.

Thanks... I think they are perty darn cute myself!

And Abby.... grrrr.... she went on and on about how she was still going to dress up so I finally got her a really cute girly vampire costume. Good thing it was half off because she never put it on. She and her friends did go out and trick or treat finally but she just did some scary make up and threw on an old witch cape over her clothes.






I know... it is fun! Tom and I do all the work but the kids enjoy it anyway!



Shucks, thanks. The old highlights are kind of peeking through now but it blended in my roots which was I really wanted. Now I can procrastinate for awhile longer before I find a new hairdresser.



I just remembered they were supposed to take a dollar to wear a hat!
The schools here do these special days where they can veer from the school uniform a bit if they bring in a dollar. Then the money is given away to various charities. Today they are giving to the American Cancer Society. Guess I better run up there with a couple bucks!

Don't you just love it when you buy a costume and then your kid decides not to wear it? I'm glad it was 50% off!!! I always loved Halloween, even to this day I like to get dressed up, just don't have anywhere to dress up for anymore.

Hi Everyone! How have you all been? I'm sure since most of you are on the FB you already know I lost my job and the next day had to put my little Beau to sleep. After that I didn't want to be home alone so came up to Mississippi with Bryan to see if I could find a job here. So far nothing. There aren't any jobs in MS or in LA that I haven't already applied for. Its always bad to lose your job but these days it just sucks as there are no jobs out there. I applied for Unemployment but dont' know yet if I will get it. Please keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer I get it.

Also up here in this part of Mississippi, DSL is not available so I can't always get on the internet. Bryan got us the dial up but that doesn't work very well and I can't do very much. I can't upload or download anything, I can't do my farm on Facebook and a lot of times it locks up if I am trying to just open an email. It's very frustrating. I hope that he gets tired of it too and gets internet through a satellite company. It's so much more expensive and since he's still paying all the bills for our house in LA he's trying to save money. Plus, of course with me having no job to contribute it's harder.

I know next week is Thanksgiving so just in case I don't get a chance to get on here again, I just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! Be safe if you are driving anywhere and try not to eat too much, lol. What are all of your plans? We're taking the camper back to LA and our friends from FL are coming up and we're meeting a few other couples at the campground. We're going to all have one big feast together!

Hi Michele! I've been missing you! Are you feeling better? And how is Scotty doing?


We survived Ida. She was an awful guest. She got us all wet, made a lot of noise with her wind and then left us with gray skies and rainy weather. I hope she isn't bothering Carla too much!

The boys and I are making cookies! Since we've been stuck inside all day we thought chocolate chip cookies were called for!


Oh and .............

22 days!

Glad you survived! Blah for icky weather. We had rain for 2 days from her but not any major flooding or anything like the state was worried about.

Mostly...still have to get my LGMH and the stuff for the door done and pack all the tickets, schedule, jackets and shoes, etc.

DD4's temperature stayed at 99 all day today, then at 6:30pm it jumped to 103. We gave her more Tylenol and it's back to 100.

I'm really hoping just another day of rest will do wonders for her.

I won't put her in preschool tomorrow so she can rest some more.

I feel really tense with not knowing how she'll be and whether we'll get it. Trying to just go with the flow, but I hate not knowing.

We will be going to my other SIL home (Loves other sister) for turkey day....we eat around 2:00pm then after that the guys usually go out in to the woods for a little deer hunt (they live on 70 acres) ......I know it sounds red-neckish but its not (OK Maybe it is!!!) ......just try to walk off some dinner......We then come back in at dark and eat some pie, then a little more pie!!! WOOOO HOOOOO I Love pie!!!!

We will call LOVE and my MIL down in Florida, they will wish they were here, we will wish we were there...yada yada yada!!!! We might play a few games or do a puzzle.....all in all it will be a good time!!!
