I think there's a minimum of 2 or 3 days ticket purchase to get free dining, isn't there? (meaning you can still get it for the whole time you are staying on property but you must buy a 3 day ticket--or is it 2?--in order to qualify for it)

good planning! I had a feeling it would work out that way.

good luck at the closing!

On Mouse Savers it says 1 day ticket required to get free dining. That's how it was last september and the september before that too.

Actually what will save us the most seems to be paying the FL rate for the room and passes and then buying the dining plan oop or just paying for our food outright. I just logged on so I could access my TR and see what we paid for food on our last trip. All that info got packed!

I know we can't do APs yet... it's almost 1900 bucks to get them for our whole family. I just don't want to spend that right now because of all of the things we are purchasing for the house. (Maybe I shoulda got a cheaper fridge!) The seasonal pass is cheaper (still 1200 though) but the way it blocks out dates we'd need to buy them in the spring in order to really get full usage out of them. So I'm leaning toward the FL res. 3 day pass for this trip and then on our next trip we may get APs or SPs.

I'm determined to get this figured out today but I gotta run soon for the closing and I'm sitting here with a wet head! My priorities might be outta whack a bit! :rotfl:

Well, glad you figured out the best way to save the most $ :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Yes imagine me, bad karma, :littleangel:

I knoq I've been to Disney a lot with my AP, but you got to go almost every day when you lived there, so you are probably still ahead and that is just wrong, :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Well..I was working most of the days mother :lmao:

Good morning!!

Today Elizabeth is 5 months old!! Hard to believe that we are soon going to be starting solid food.

I'm trying to work on the autograph book some more this AM before Elie wakes up!

Hey Marshay

Time is flying....

How far along are you wiht your book?

I actually talked abt it with my MIL last night and she burst my board game balloon. Apparently Mamaw won't play board games (according to her). So now I just dunno what to do :confused3 They do have a DVD player so maybe we'll just do that.

That stinks girl.

Maybe ask mamaw on side in general conversation if she likes board games? Or maybe she like regular cards? Like rummy or gin. U never know.

Happy 5 months to Elizabeth!

And Happy Closing Day to us! This afternoon we sign our names 16746460541 times and then hand over a big fat check and get the keys to our new home! :cool1:

Tomorrow Eli arrives.

Then Friday the big truck arrives with all (hopefully!) of our worldly possessions!

Busy, busy!

Today I am going to get this trip figured out and book it before Tomato changes his mind!

I need a ticker!

Oh and Sharky! Friday night will work for us! I'm so excited! (you know I don't whip out that banana for nothin'!)

Happy Closing day to you!!!

Sweet...Can't wait to meet you all :cool1:

:woohoo::woohoo: signing your life away is no fun but how exciting you get to move in this weekend!! I can't wait to see pictures!!

And I'm SO excited you guys are coming in December too. I can't wait to meet you all!! It's going to be SO awesome!!!! :yay::yay: Maybe I can have my quilt top ready for everyone to sign by then. I did get some really really cool Mickey Mouse material on my quilt retreat that I can use :thumbsup2

I'm SO there!! :yay:
Oh cool

Did not know u bought some Mickey material..How cool :wizard:

well my throat is still sore this morning, as well as my right gland. And my ears are bothering me. But no nose stuffiness...knock on wood!

I brought some chicken noodle soup for lunch, which is what I also had for dinner last night...so I don't much feel like eating it. I might just eat some poptarts. I really don't know what I want....bleh

Hope you feel better soon girl

UGH... just got off the phone with Disney. WHY can I not ever call and get and NICE CM? This guy was a jerk. :headache: So, FL residents can only get free dining if we purchase everything else at regular price. He informs me of this with a tone of "If you have to worry about how you are going to afford it you shouldn't be calling me". That is how I always feel when I call there and that is why I hate doing it! I just want to pay as little as possible... I'm not in the habit of over-paying, kwim?

Anyway, back to the drawing board. I need to run the numbers at regular price with free dining and then run the numbers with FL discount on the park tix and the room and then compare. I know that the dining plan is not something we would pay for - our kids wouldn't eat that much to justify paying for it - but if it is FREE, well that is another thing entirely.

Such a headache.

But not so much that I won't do it!!! :rotfl2:

Sorry girl...

Hate when they are unmagical :headache:

I am glad u are willing to try again anyway :rotfl2:

Let us know how u make out :wizard:

Sadly, I only got Sully prepped today (not put together yet).

I also have Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter, Captain Hook and Peter Pan prepped for my next crop. So I'm making progress...probably about halfway done or so.

I love Sully :lovestruc

Sorry you are still sick. I hope it doesn't get worse

Well, how about just getting your Seasonal AP's or regular AP's @ FR prices and then get one one day ticket at regular price for the free dining. I would think that would save you the most $. :thumbsup2

Good idea :thumbsup2

Yep that is what we are doing a 1 day pass, then LOVE says we have to do some MVCPM MCVPM MVPCM......OH crap,:lmao: some sort of a party!!!

We dont know what park we will do yet.......:confused3

I did! And I am quite proud of myself too!

Wait! We aren't going to the party! :guilty: We are buying the FL resident 3 day pass so we're skipping MVMCP. I think maybe you need 2 day passes... or 3! :rolleyes1

Yes, the decision has been made! We are getting the 3 day passes and using the FL res rate for POR for 4 nights ($94/nt) and then paying for food OOP. We could add the dining plan but honestly, we will spend less on food than we would on the plan.

UJ~ We will book in the next few days. Just want to make sure all of our address changes have gone through (particularly the one for the Visa!) before we do. Then we can start talking ADRs!!! :woohoo:

Cheri

How excited are you???

30 More Days for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I know, I can't believe it!!

Cheri,
You need to get me a set of park maps....I need a new set about every 3-4 months........I can always find someone going to Disney....they always pick them up for me!!!!!! When I play pretend Disney travel agent :thumbsup2
I have to give out current maps......I cant be giving out 1 year old maps!!!!!

A friend of my wifey's was over a few weeks ago, they are going during spring break '10 with her sons high school marching band....I gave her my last maps.....I showed her maps of the resorts too.....(She already knew I was nuts)..they are staying off property...but she wants me to do a presentation for the band director and school board members as to why they should stay on property.....Get this: they are afraid to stay on property because they think kids will leave the parks on the buses and go back to the rooms and have sex!!!! Gee, Disney is the only place in the world they would ever do something like that!!!!!

no silly...I still have a month! :rotfl:

This trip is more laid back...no packing one month early. No, no. I have my list though. I'll have to do a bit of shopping in a couple of weeks then start packing. :thumbsup2

that is right

laid back will be a nice change of pace for sure :)

:rotfl: lots!!

You can't just do that. I don't even see your light on anymore. You had better get back here missy! :snooty:

Well, I was trying to keep up for the most part, until probably Sunday when I had to leave for work. I didn't have time while I was out of town to do anything online (except take care of Shane's farm on facebook - he made me promise). Now I'm hopelessly behind on everything.:sad1:
