My DS is having issues in school also. At this point, they are leaning toward recommending him for T-1 which is a grade between K and 1st. They don't think he is mature enough. It's not that he doesn't get the work--- he just isn't putting forth enough effort KWIM? So we have been working double time at home. He gets frustrated so easily.

I've never heard of T-1. I hope he doesn't need it but if he does, I hope it is just the ticket to get him on the right track

I had the opposite problem with Loren. I still do, he is way too laid back. I mean come one Loren, I realize we are from California but come on.

Oh really. never knew they had something like that.

Did he go to Pre-K?

Trent is way too laid back. He knows most of what he needs to know, but chooses not to participate. She will ask him somethng and he answere right away.

But if she ask class questions, he never volunteers

I hear ya. Trent hates homework, so feel your pain.

I just try and make a game out of his homework. Been working for past few days.

Good luck with your Ds :goodvibes

too funny chele :rotfl:

Still no word from Marsha, huh? I hope everything is okay!

Extra help is always good if your kids need it. Owen needed it for the same reasons as Trent. He just doesn't see the point of going out of his way to impress anyone! Plus he hates to do repetitive stuff... there goes elementary school! :sad2:

So I've had a killer sinus headache for days. Today I finally bought a neti-pot.
EEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWW. I think my right side is completely blocked because the solution was going down my throat instead of my nose. :crazy2:

I am a moron

I just did my TR update here

deleted and now moved to my TR

yeah hope so too! at least we leave an hour earlier on Fridays. Maybe we will catch a movie at the Palace tomorrow...

That is good at least

Trent wants to see the Movie Tooth Fairy

Oh, I never heard of T-1 either. I hope this works for him. Boys have it much harder than girls in school, I think.

Hey, guys, I'm here!

Elizabeth goes for an ultrasound on Tuesday ... the lump is still there ... I just want to know what it is. On a positive note she is crawling and finally starting to eat "hard" foods like teething biscuits and baby rice cakes.

For those who have remembered Jerry and I in prayers, I thank you for that, too! We are working on our marriage, Jerry is seeing a counselor. We're taking a married couples class together called "Marriage on the Rock" (sort of a play on a marriage on the rocks but looking to Jesus to be our Rock). And I'm trying once again to find a babysitter. 5 years w/o really having "couple" time definitely hurts a relationship. I'm hoping to find a babysitter so we can go out once a month and reconnect.

That seems so logical to me. I think that if I wanted to open an amusement park I would want it around others to draw in the tourists.

Well, I have had my excitement fill for a while. I just came home a little while ago from picking the kids up from school. Like usual I picked the girls up first, they get out 15 minutes before Loren, it's real convenient that way. On the way to Loren's school I heard a siren so I looked in my rear view mirror and saw a police officer trying to get through traffic so I pulled over, pretty soon the officer drives by rather quickly and he is followed by a few others. By the time I had gone maybe two blocks there were about 8 different cars with lights and sirens going to the same area. I decided I was going to hurry on my way so that we could get away from whatever it was, and then there was another officer flying up behind me so I just stopped where I was because I couldn't pull over. He turned in front of me and headed into some back streets.

As I was hurrying up the road to get out of there I saw a high speed chase in my rear view mirror, I figured okay that's done. I got to Loren's school and dealt with the mess that it is there and headed home like I normally did. I thought that I should stick to main streets because I could hear sirens in the background. So I went out to our main street and the next thing I know the SUV that they had been changing flew up behind me and passed me to the left going around traffic, next thing I know the police cars are flying up behind him so I sat where I was at the light until it was clear and stuck in the right lane after turning right so that if need be I could pull over again. All told there were at least 15 police cars in pursuit. I did have to pull over again and the idiot behind me rather than pull over side swiped my mirror and drove off. Jerk!!! No damage other than a scratch thankfully.

I don't know if they ever caught him but all in all I learned that I would rather see a high speed chase on the news not right where I am at.:scared1:
