How is everyone today?

Trent class started guided reading today.

He brought home this little book and had to have him read it to me.

Was so cute:goodvibes

The theme of his book was I See

on the right hand page would be a picture of the thing he saw...for example...Elephant, horses, et

On the left would say I see Elephant, Horses, etc.

He read through that book lightning fast

He normally hates doing any homework, so was really shocked when he did it

Of course he joked a little bit, but that is his personality :rotfl:

How fun, this was one of my favorite part of the kids earlier times in school. We would lay on the bed together and which ever kid it was to read to me. That was special times for us, that would be "our" time.:goodvibes

I really enjoy doing his homework with him as well, when he cooperates :goodvibes

I don't know what it is about boys but Loren still fights me when it comes to homework. He is starting to finally settling down and just get it done.

So cute! I just bought a Preparing for Kindergarten book and borrowed some from our local library, too. Rachel is getting into the worksheets and it's fun to do with her.

I can't believe she'll be going to K this fall ... :scared1:

You moms who have been through it, need to give me some advice. On one hand, I'm excited for her to learn more and start becoming independent, plus I'll get some more free time...but on the other hand, my little baby is growing up and I swear she was just a baby girl last year ...:sad2: In some ways I feel like I've lost the last year with her because so much has been about Elizabeth...

Ok, sniff, sniff, I'm gonna grab some tissues and stop crying just thinking about all this...must be a sentimental day for me...

Oh, this sounds like a great idea! Right now she'll read like half-way through a "Bob" book and I have to encourage her to finish the book. She likes to start them but not finish.

Oh my Kelly would you be referring to my trip ticker? We have decided to take a combined family trip. We are going at the same time as Loren's best friend Vincent's family. His grandma Belan, my mom and I have been friends since the boys both started in kindergarten together. And it will be those two and Vincent's little sister Cheyenne and our family. So yeah I was holding off on a ticker and everything until I was definitely was sure about the trip. So in June Disneyland here we come.

Here is a little trip report I just started recently, http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2372526.

Awesome!:thumbsup2

What's up all?

Had off today, bank holiday :woohoo:

We had a problem with our electric in Trent's room, the bathroom and our room.

The lights would not turn on in there.

Steve tried for a bit to figure it out, but our house has old wiring and kind of dangersou to mess with that :rotfl:

So we called an electrician and an hr later he fixed it.

I asked Steve how much and he told me $750.00

I am Like WHAT~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

He didn't even redo any of our wiring.

Then Steve starts to laugh and lets me see the bill

It was only $107.00 :woohoo:

He about gave me a heart attack :rotfl:

I think I would have killed him.

Oh, I did forget to mention that Elie has a lump on her neck...doc thought it was an inflamed lymph node and gave us meds for it...but it didn't go away.

So she gets an ultrasound next Tuesday to find out what in the world it is...hopefully, it's just some benign fatty tissue. If she won't be still enough for it, they will put her under ... I sure hope we don't have to do that.

Saying a prayer for Elie

oh and I got the money when I got in today, so what a fabulous Monday this is!!! :thumbsup2

And we can wear Saints T-shirts and jersey's all week with our dress pants and shoes. But Thursday and Friday will be jeans and tennis shoes.

The kids can wear jerseys and jeans on Friday too :thumbsup2

I have watched the Big Bang a few times. It is pretty funny

I can't stop singing it and making Steve nuts, getting it stuck in his head :rotfl:

Yeah, guess you are right, too bad her style is HOT MESS

:lmao:

Hahahahahaha :lmao:

Actually reading through half a book is good for her. She has places to go and toys to play with still. It was so hard for me each time one of the kids started school. When Kacy started school I thought for sure she would cry an when Mrs. Bryan came out the door and said hi Kacy she dropped my hand and ran to her. She never even said goodbye. I cried the whole way home. The next year when Kody started I expected that she would be okay and do the same thing. She was a little more clingy, but still was ready when she saw Mrs. Bryan. An I was better prepared it had only been the last school year when Kacy started and I had a busy 3 year old at home. I still cried the whole way home. Are we sensing a trend here?:lmao: When Loren started he made friends with his best friend Vincent and it was all she wrote. I went home in tears again, and I vowed that I was going to have another baby. And then they came home for school and started arguing and I knew that I was done having babies. So after this long reply I have to tel you that although you may be sad it is the best thing in the world for both of you.
