The TV show Screen Savers just went behind the scenes of WISHES to show the intricate computer process that is used to have the fireworks run properly. I love that show so much, even seeing a short part of it on TV is a thrill. My son, who is getting married in 2005, proposed to his girlfriend at Disney on one knee right after WISHES. Was he raised right or what?

Well, I must say I think it is discourteous and rude to start this type of thread beginning with a statement like the one above given the previous discussion in the Kerry thread about specific posters being put on ignore.

Hello, to the Fellow Kerry supporters! We are getting closer to election time. It certainly is exciting! the weather is beautiful here today, so I can't wait to get outside.

I do have several people on Ignore until after the election. My computer - my choice! So I'm missing some of the back and forth and not minding it one little bit. I may miss some positive comments but I bet I'm missing some others too. I'm happy with "Don't ask, don't tell" but only on this thread.

Do you think All Souls Day will be All Hell Breaks Loose Day at the polling places in some of the battleground states?

I said what I said because I want it to be a fair debate. If you are going to pull a quote from another thread, when you know the person most likely has you on ignore, and can't defend themselves, that is not a fair debate tactic. I am not sure why you have such a big problem with that.

Giuliani on Meet The press this morning, was asked about when he blamed the missing weapons on the troops in a Today interview last week. He replied that he was not stating his position, but Kerry's position. Give me a break ! We all heard or read precisely what he said. He never mentioned Kerry's name. He said it in defence of Bush. What has happened to people in this country that someone can just sit in front of a camera and LIE? Blatantly LIE. Are we supposed to be so dumb that we forgot what he actually said just a couple of days ago?

I am STEAMING MAD right now. I hadn't opened the front curtains or been out the front door this morning so didn't know that our yard had been vandalized AGAIN. This time the Veterans for Kerry signs were torn down OFF THE HOUSE and Isabella's pumpkin has been stolen! Kids you say? Perhaps! But the yards on both sides of ours were left alone (they have whole Halloween displays AND Bush signs).

Isabella is so upset. How can I explain to a six year old that someone hates my politics and so they took the pumpkin she so carefully chose on her trip to the pumpkin patch with her Brownie troop? Here it is Halloween morning and we have to find a new pumpkin and get it carved so Halloween won't be ruined for a first grader. This little town is overwhelmingly fundamentalist and pro-Bush. I still find it hard to believe that this kind of behavior is acceptable!

Wow, I thought his statements blaming the troops was just showing poor judgment but this denial of what has been so clearly documented is sheer stupidity. What reality do some of these people live in where they can say something and think the majority of people will believe them when they later try to "spin" what was said?

This thread moves so fast! I missed most of yesterday because (1) I set up a new computer desk and my PC was unplugged (!) for most of the day and (2) I dropped off Kerry flyers for a couple of hours.

:yes my DH saw the original interview/statement live as well as this "denial" and he is flabbergasted.

the sad part is, people who didn't see the original statement will believe this "denial" and believe that the left twisted his original words.

I agree, he blundered with the original statement, but this denial is dispicable. They really feel it's OK to say pretty much anything in the final days of the election don't they?

Has anyone mentioned anything recently about the verification of the KSTP video? When originally aired, they hadn't confirmed it was the same place, the same missing weapons, but it has been confirmed now. I"ve been following this on the local news (KSTP) but hadn't seen much on the national news lately.
