Thanks. I fear this election will not be decided by wednesday. I hope I'm wrong regardless of who wins. This decision needs to be made so we can rally around our president for the next four years, regardless of which man that is.

and even better

"The poll also found that only 2.3% of 18-29 year-old respondents said they did not plan to vote, and another .5% who were not sure if they would."

It has long been speculated that the young, those who had not been polled because they did not have a land phone, would have a huge impact on the results.

No wonder Tucker Carlson ( bow tie boy ) is predicting a clear Kerry win.

Good Morning my fellow Kerry-ites. The weather has turned cool and it may rain. Isabella is concerned she's going to have to wear a raincoat over her costume this evening. We'll be trick or treating and then handing out treats at Democratic Headquarters. Tuesday I'm set to drive people to the polls! I'm so pleased that we're down to the last hours of the campaign. I think everyone is ready for it to be over!

I agree, it has been too painful already. Now we have Bin Laudin sending us video tapes giving us instructions. Whom ever is president needs all our strong support. If that turns out to be Kerry, he will have my support.

I love Halloween. My son was born on October 31st ( 27 years ago YIKES ) so I always had a built in theme for his party. And more decorations than most people. Long after my son had stopped having birthday parties, I continued to make a big deal out of Halloween. I love having kids come to the door, and usually dressed in costume myself for the occaision. Two years ago we were living on a lonely country road, where no one was trick or treating. Last year we were at Disney. This year I am hoping to see lots of little disguised faces at our door.

Desperado, the best thing we can do with the last Bin Laden tapes is ignore them. He clearly wants to have a hand in this election... let's not give him the pleasure. I'm not changing my vote based on what he has to say... and, although it would make my day , I hope you don't do it either.

Well, I must say I think it is discourteous and rude to start this type of thread beginning with a statement like the one above given the previous discussion in the Kerry thread about specific posters being put on ignore.

Agreed. However it is a sober reminder of the the real enemy, it's certainly not the opposing political party members.

That is an excellent idea LoraJ. Now if only it works. It is a funny thing how some people simply thrive on controversy and are not having any fun unless they are baiting someone. I just do not get it.

If he wanted to influence the election, then why be so obscure in what he is saying. He certainly left it wide open to interpretation which side he wanted to win. I think he is simply sending a message to his followers that he is still a player. Have you seen the European translation of his speech? It differs somewhat from the American one. And we have no way of knowing exactly when this tape was made. The only time reference was something about entering the fourth year since 9/11. That tape could easily be 6 weeks old.

Very interesing. I would suspect we would be seeing discussion of this in this morning's news programs. I look forward to hearing about the differences and the pundits' interpretations (from both sides) of what the tape means.
