I'm with you...when you know the characters well because of demographics, it's hard to just 'fit' someone into the role.
That's one of the reasons I like these books is that I so get the nuances of the Burg lifestyle.

oh dear, let's hope Katherine Heigl ends up getting replaced as well. I can't stand her & I especially can't see her as our beloved Stephanie Plum!!

After reading these books for years & years, I have been looking forward to a movie for forever & to have it spoiled by Katherine Heigl really stinks!!!

My current fave for Stephanie is Jennifer Garner - she is exactly what I see when I picture Stephanie in my head.

Being born and raised in NJ and living in that area for many years I too don't agree with KH. She really doesn't fit.

I could see Garner pulling it off much better, if not Bullock, just because of the age.

As for Morelli, since we have to go for the HOT factor and we all have different opinions on that, I like Bradley Cooper, although he's many not fit the Italian criteria, but he is hot

Love Betty White for Grandma (and she definitely proved herself with that Superbowl commercial ).

Not sure about Ranger, that's a hard one. I think The Rock it too "old" for the age group of Garner/Cooper (if I had my way for him to be Morelli...LOL).

I think Leah Remini could be Connie!

I can't wait to see the movie! Does anyone know when it's supposed to come out?

Well, it seems that Katherine Heigl is done with Grey's Anatomy. Interesting.
I didn't post a link, as it's all over the internet. I've read conflicting reports but one of them is that she is interested in pursuing her film career.
I just wish it wasn't with "Stephanie"!

Eh not a great choice but I am sure it can change she is too delicate but then again Charlise Theron pulled off that tough one. Although I would think Marissa Tomei type of person Drew Barrymore?

I totally see Katherine Heigel as Stephanie in these. I don't see Morelli (in the actor playing him), but Ranger is a good choice. And Grandma Mazur looks good too!

I still wish that MoNique was Lula though. And look at Connie (in the photos)!!
