For Fun - What's on your "Must eat at DL" list?

Frozen yogurt from Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor
Dole Whip
Carmel chocolate covered pretzel rod from Pooh Corner
Mickey Pretzel

These food threads are my favorite :thumbsup2

While we're there I will be for sure eating at the following places:

Rancho: what's the salad with the red tortilla strips on it?
Village Haus: turkey sandwich
Hungry Bear: anything there, but must have root beer there - reliving my childhood memories back in Critter (Bear) country drinking root beer and soaking in the atmosphere
River Belle Terrace: I'm sad that they did away with the veg stew in a breadbowl. I'll still go there for the atmosphere though.
I'm sure there'll be at least one Dole Whip...
I'm going to have to try the Cafe Orleans too, haven't been there before.

Whats a Tinkerbell twist?

I asked this same question about a month ago.

A Tinkerbell Twist is a slush-type drink that is purchased at a vendor cart. I believe it is a mixture of watermelon and sour apple. Like a 7-11 Slurpee. (Please, someone correct me if I am wrong - I can't find it written in any of my notes....)

HTH!

Oh, this is so cruel. I'm not going until May. I'll only be there 5 days. And I don't know the next time an airplane will fly from Vermont to CA :rotfl2:

How am I going to eat all things things and ride the rides and see all of the shows, parades, fireworks, etc? :confused3

A Mickey Mouse pretzel
A white chocolate raspberry cookie as big as my head from Pooh's corner
Mickey Mouse shaped pretzels in the big bag to take home!!!

Yum!

Marshmellows, dipped in an Orange Flavored Chocolate, with a drizzle of chocolate.

I have never eaten one since they aren't vegetarian, but I know a lot of people who really like them, as you can see from all the Dis fans :)

ok, i'm going to HAVE to get one this weekend when i go!!! along with...

turkey leg
cotton candy in front of the castle
dole whip
bread bowl w/ clam chowder
caramel apple
choc strawberry

:rotfl:

I'm a newbie to the food that is DL, but so far a few on my must-eat list:

-Churro
-Tigger Tail
-A bite from one of my relative's giant pickles (I dunno if I could ever finish a whole one!)
-We usually fit in a PS for a restaurant too; so far we've hit Cafe Orleans, Blue Bayou, Goofy's Kitchen, and Minnie's Breakfast at the Plaza. Who knows what's next on the list!?:goodvibes

And that's all so far!

If you like it a little spicy, you have to have a hot link corndog from Corndog Castle in DCA. A must.

We usually grab corndogs and mickey pretzels for dinner on our first afternoon there just after check-in.

I always must get a mickey rice krispie treat. DD needs a frozen lemonade and Dh must get a Dole Whip and popcorn. DS will eat anything but he really likes the Tigger Tails.

I love the corn dogs on Main St. :cloud9:
Dole Whip
Tigger Tail and one that looks like a Tigger Tail but it chocolate and cashews
In CA Adventure, but Clam Chowder in a bread bowl also the Mickey bread there
Bacon wrapped asparagus over by Indiana Jones
Not food, but I love the iced coffee on Main St.!

Pizza from Naples! :lovestruc
Churros
Popcorn....don't know why, but popcorn always tastes better at Disney!
pretzels from Wetzel's Pretzels
Mickey waffles at Goofy's Kitchen

Anna

Oh Dear God...not another food thread!!! :rotfl2: I am going to have start starving myself when I'm at home!.....
The chicken dinner at the Plaza Inn is absolutely NOT to be missed!! we have that a few times when we are there.... plenty big enough for 2 adults to share!
Of course popcorn tastes better at Disneyland!! lol.... and at least one or 2 buckets are a must! preferably purchased right before watching a parade or fireworks or fantasmic! popcorn::
Mickey waffles WITH strawberries at Carnation Cafe...
Dole whip float WITH a spear in it.... bite of spear, spoon of whip, sip of juice.... :cool1:
Chicken Gumbo and Clam Chowder from Royal Street Veranda
Corn Dogs from the cart on Main Street, preferably to eat while watching a parade or fireworks
The Caramel Kettle Korn from Downtown Disney...not the first cart you come to.... the cart closest to the Disneyland Hotel...there is a HUGE difference!! We brought back 3 giant bags last trip and vacume sealed portions with our vacume sealer!! :rotfl2: can you say addicted???
Nearly any dinner from Hookes Pointe at the Disneyland Hotel, and Nearly any breakfast from Steakhouse 55, and the prix fixe dinner at Steakhouse 55 is awesome! and a really great deal!
Tortuga trio of Creme brulee from Blue Bayou, and the Mahi Mahi and the crab cakes...:woohoo:
churros
mocha's from Blue Ribbon Bakery on Main street, or Bakersfield Bakery in DCA
a Strawberry Margarita from Rita's Baja blenders in DCA :rolleyes1
the rib appatizer and the wood fired pizza (not the kids pizza) at STorytellers Cafe in GC
Sushi over at Yamabuki in PP Hotel :thumbsup2
I know there is more, and the reason our trips have to be at least several days long....also why I always gain weight there....

That is my fave of the Tigger Tails.

Coconut Scones - Lilo and Stitch breakfast - Yummy. we always try to go on our last morning before the drive home, just so I can get scones.

Of course a new favorite is Tigger tails.

watch out for those tigger tails! the first few bites are so yummy, but (and i am a major chocolate/caramel lover) they get VERY sweet, VERY fast. if i ate more than half of one i'd be sick, sick, sick, lol! i made them at home even, and after the first marshmallow, my kids were like, "my tummy doesn't feel so good..." ROTFL!!!

my family isn't overly interested in food while at DLR, but we do always make time for burgers at the Taste Pilot's Grill in DCA. we've been going there for 7 years, and i think my kids just have this emotional attachment to it, lol. the food is decent, but i think it's the atmosphere that brings them so much joy. when they were very small, they'd always order the popcorn chicken with smiley face fries (they don't sell those anymore), and DH and i would get cheeseburgers. every time they hear the song "rocket man" by elton john, they all scream, "this is the song from the place we eat at california adventure!!"

we haven't been there on a cold night in a long time, but when we had AP's and were there on a cold night, everyone would immediately want popcorn. popcorn::

and the mickey mouse pretzels really are very yummy!
