For Fun - What's on your "Must eat at DL" list?

For my DH:
- Churros
- Montecristo from BB or Cafe Orleans

For me:
- Pomme frites, Gumbo soup, and Mickey beignets from Cafe Orleans
- Chicken guacamole sandwich from Whitewater Snacks

For DDs:
- Dinner at Goofy's Kitchen

DH:
Calm Chowder at Pacific Warf
Ice Cream...from anywhere, no matter what the wait time (seriously, 45 minutes for ice cream? wth?)

Myself:
Hot Dog from the Corn Dog Castle
Beignets...from anywhere, but hold the powdered sugar
Chai Martini from the Uva Bar...when in season
Mickey Rice Krispy...not on a stick
Blue Cheese and Port tasting in Wine Country
Mint Julip at the Jazz Kitchen (so hard to find someone who can make a good one!)

Churro
Dole Whip
Frozen Banana
Pomme Frites @ Cafe Orleans
Ribs @ Taste Pilot's Grill

I tell myself that I am going to get certain things every time I go, but then, thankfully, my better judgment kicks in and I end up skipping them...or I am just too full to bother with them. For example, that evil cinnamon roll at Blue Ribbon Bakery is so sinful and delicious, and I always intend to get one, but then I start saying, "No, I have already eaten and it's too much sugar and carbs and empty calories to bother with right now!" My blood sugar will go nuts. SO I have not had the cinnamon roll since September 2007!

But, in a perfect world if I could eat certain delicious things on every trip rather than just every once in a while, I would eat:

- Cinnamon roll and blended mocha at Blue Ribbon Bakery (messy, ooey-gooey, warm goodness)
- Some of the oversized cookies sold in BRB or in the candy shops
- The gingerbread men with Mickey ears cookies sold during the holidays
- Peppermint ice cream (sold during the holidays) and anything else peppermint
- Mickey waffles (big ones, not little ones)
- Mickey pancakes
- The mini muffins, bacon, eggs, potatoes, orange juice, mini-doughnuts, and FRUIT FRUIT FRUIT at Goofy's Kitchen's breakfast
- Spaghetti and garlic bread at Storytellers Cafe (dinner)
- Chicken strips/tenders w/ BBQ sauce and a thick milkshake at ESPN Zone
- Chicken fried chicken and Rain Forest Ricky at Rainforest Cafe
- Meat loaf stack, Matterhorn sundae and Apple pie a la mode w/ whipped cream and strawberries at Carnation Cafe
- Meatball sandwich at Wine Country Trattoria
- BBQ Chicken sandwich w/ criss cut fries AND onion rings at Taste Pilots Grill
- Pizza at Naples
- If the ever bring strawberry shortcake back to Blue Ribbon Bakery, I will want that too!!
- If I don't get my fill of fruit at Goofy's Kitchen, then I have to eat fruit from the carts around the parks - pineapple, melon, grapes, bananas, etc. YUM. YAY for fruit!!

Darn it! These pesky food-related threads make me hungry!

watch out for those tigger tails! the first few bites are so yummy, but (and i am a major chocolate/caramel lover) they get VERY sweet, VERY fast. if i ate more than half of one i'd be sick, sick, sick, lol! i made them at home even, and after the first marshmallow, my kids were like, "my tummy doesn't feel so good..." ROTFL!!!

my family isn't overly interested in food while at DLR, but we do always make time for burgers at the Taste Pilot's Grill in DCA. we've been going there for 7 years, and i think my kids just have this emotional attachment to it, lol. the food is decent, but i think it's the atmosphere that brings them so much joy. when they were very small, they'd always order the popcorn chicken with smiley face fries (they don't sell those anymore), and DH and i would get cheeseburgers. every time they hear the song "rocket man" by elton john, they all scream, "this is the song from the place we eat at california adventure!!"

we haven't been there on a cold night in a long time, but when we had AP's and were there on a cold night, everyone would immediately want popcorn. popcorn::

and the mickey mouse pretzels really are very yummy!

Seriously?!!! They play Elton John there? I will have to go there for that reason alone! I am a HUGE Elton John fan! Have been since I was 11 and man, that was quite a while ago! Ha! Ha! :lmao:

When my kids were younger they always wanted a churro when they'd get off of Splash Mountain. My sister and I used to get those huge pickles on Main Street and listen to the gossip on those old-time phones...are they still there? :confused3 I haven't checked on those in years!

My kids always bought a big lollypop before heading home. It was a tradition! :)

Me too, Bonofreak! I LOVE love love Elton. He's one of my top 3 favorite artists. I have a feeling you and I would get along well! Just an FYI - when I ate at Taste Pilots Grill in December, I think I recall them playing "Rocket Man" too, along with other aviation/space-oriented songs such as "Space Oddity" by Bowie!
