If you're using points for your cruise, are all the port charges included, or is that an extra fee? We're considering using points for ds & me and cash for dh -- wondered if we need to figure the port charges for ds & me? TIA!

All port fees are included in the point price.

The only additional expenses you will have on the cruise are the same as anyone who paid cash for the cruise.

Alcoholic beverages
Sodas at non-meals
Spa Treatments
Excursions
souveniers
photos
etc.....

You will also be paying a $ 75.00 fee as a transaction fee. Each time the reservation changes there will be the $ 75 fee so make sure you have everything nailed down for certain before going ahead with your booking using pts.

According to our DR, it's cost effective if you use your points towards parents and cash for kiddies, if you have the points to use.

We sailed last June and had the best vacation ever. So, we booked next June for the western carrib tour! Practicing my spanish as we speak.....

As Robin said....

(My husband and I left a LOT of money at the spa. It was great.)

We also wound up buying a lot of the photos - must have gotten at least 6-7. The photo of the family with the ship's captain (nice photo of us, Capt Tom and Walt Disney), lots of photos of our son at the beach with his new buddy, embarkation photo with Mickey, dinner at Tritons photo, photo of the family with the ship on Castaway Cay, photo of the family with the ship backdrop.

If you are into pins, they have a lot of great DCL pins that you can only get on board the ships.

Plus the drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) in the DCL glasses.
