Now see, here we are with VGC being the forgotten step-child again. The new 2011 points charts are posted here on the DIS..but not for VGC..I noticed they don't even have the 2010 points listed for VGC.

I mean what is posted on the DIS..I found the charts at Disney and DVC News, but not on the information on the DIS boards.

Alas, the DIS is not infallible. I seem to get more reliable information from dvcmember.com or just calling MS. Don't get me wrong, the DIS is fun but consistently inconsistent in its reliability.

You think thats dumb... try spending $5.99 for the E-Ticket DISNEYLAND iphone app. Open it and try and calculate DVC stays at VGC! Not there!!! What good is calculating points for WDW DVC resorts in the E-Ticket DISNEYLAND app? Frickin Morons! You can tell how the site admins feel about Disneyland... Look at where the Disneyland boards are listed in the site:

-WDW Boards
-DVC Boards
-UK and Canada Boards
-Disney Cruise Line Boards
-Disneyland Boards

I've noticed that too...the ORIGINAL park is listed way down...like an afterthought..I'm surprised we aren't after the Just for Fun section.
To be fair..it seems like the whole thing originated as a WDW site..since the main board is WDW Info..right?
Anyway, as crowded as the parks are, I guess they don't need any extra push..but I am surprised at how often VGC gets left out..I think they should lower the prices drastically and sell out that forgotten DVC.....

Agreed! And also agree that VGC gets no love on the DIS or really any of the DVC related forums out there but that is fine with me. The slower than expected sell out time means I got an add on as a christmas present and may get to add on again if there are still points left to be had next year. 5 years from now, when the place is sold out and the DCA renovations are complete, I will be happy knowing I can call and reserve my little spot next to the magic that Disney and all the other internet sites left out of the conversation.

True! This thread is definitely a warm and welcoming place for those of us who love VGC.

Someone should start a separate info thread too, like some of the other resorts have, that indexes important information in the first couple posts. That might be helpful when trying to locate map scans, recent pics and point charts.

We actually have a Grand Californian Super Thread on the Disneyland board with alot of info..not just DVC info, but hotel as well.

Us too! We could never afford the hotel otherwise, let alone the villas which are head and shoulders above the regular room in terms of size and amenities. I am still on about our purchase here but should probably keep it to myself or share the love over on the owners thread so to keep the real Disney's Best Kept Secret in tact!
