For those that are seasoned users of the card, do you show them the card upfront while ordering, or do you give it to them with the check?
Thanks
We have been using this card for years now and feel it is definitely a good deal, especially if you dine at the more expensive, fine dining Disney restaurants.
When we first had the card, we forgot to use it a few times! DOH!
Now, we take the card out as soon as we are seated.
We have also learned to let the server know we will be using the card, although it doesn't usually save time when settling the bill.
The only complaint I have about the card is that the server must get a manager to ok the card.
This sometimes takes quite a while, once it took 15 minutes in Spoodles.
Also, while the card is also good for drinks in certain bars and lounges, it takes SO LONG to get a manager to ok the card, it just isn't worth the trouble.
For instance, we spend a lot of time in the Belle Vue Lounge at The Boardwalk. The manager comes from somewhere else, maybe Spoodles.
The poor bartender is supposed to call for the manager each and everytime someone uses the card and the poor guest has to wait 15 - 20 minutes to settle their bill. We have seen quite a few unhappy customers experience this. We don't use the card there anymore. Same thing at ESPN.
I have emailed DDE about this but never heard back, I think I'll try again.
The card IS great for sit down, fine dining but they need a better system for "okaying" the card.
