(and don't take fanatic the wrong way...I just wanted a provocative thread title)...
You'll be happy to know that Palo on the Wonder now has a sign asking guests not to wear jeans and shorts. I don't know if it is enforced, as everyone was quite dressy when we dined there on Fri. and no one dressed inappropriately tried to come in.
The navigators also feature a "no jeans or shorts, please" request for the main diningroom. I don't know if it was that or the holiday, but people were more dressy on this cruise than I've seen in a while.

The no jean no shorts please in the navigator was not just because of the holiday. We noticed it in the navigator on our cruise in October.

Palo has a "no shorts, no jeans policy" for the restaurant. This covers all meals: Champagne Brunch, High Tea, and dinner from what I understand.

I am considering renting a tux, but would only do so if I could wear it twice. Palo and formal night would make two times. Do people wear formal dress like a tux to Palo? Will I feel over dressed?

You won't feel over-dressed at all. Suit and ties are aplenty in Palo, even on regular nights, and I have seen many tuxedos as well.

After our first Disney cruise I went and bought a tux just to wear on the next cruise. I wore it two nights. This time I will have at least four times to wear it.

On the Navigators, it says jacket required for Palo's even said that on the brunch day. We made my hubby and step dad wear theirs and they were about the only one's in jackets at brunch. There were even guys in shorts although dressy and not the norm. Lots of polo's for brunch, just FYI. We never heard the end of that!

That still only applies to dinner. Jackets are not required for brunch.

Actually, jackets are never REQUIRED, only RECOMMENDED. Brunch is definately more casual than dinner, resort casual seemed to be what most people wore (khakis and golf shirt type dress).

My husband wore his tux on semi-formal night, as well. Not sure if many men do that, but we were on a 7-day Christmas cruise and that may have made a difference as many others did as well.
