For all of you NERDS???

DW calls me a computer geek...but she's a CPA, so what does she know :hyper:

Same here -- I was in the honors classes, but also lettered in a couple different sports.

And I can't call my CPA DW a geek, since I'm a CPA as well.

I have to say I'm more of a geek than a nerd.

I post on a disney board how much geekier can you get.

Ok there is the Star Trek Board but thats bordering on Nerddom.

I think that I'm too nerdy for this tag fairy to notice..:p

As long as the tag is in pretty colors, than that would be cool.:sunny:

LOL! I don't think so! ;)

Proud to be a nerd and raising three nerds-in-training.

Last night Belle (9 next week) asked if the teacher would think she was a geek for listing the elements in alphabetical order. Frankly, we think that boat has already sailed! But, what can you expect, her parents both have engineering degrees (DH has 2), and on her dad's side, in particular, there is a long and colorful history of geekdom--Dh's grandmother even had a PhD in electrical engineering! So frankly, I don't think my kids have a chance of NOT being nerds.

Then again, isn't in the bible that Blessed are the geeks, for they shall inherit the earth?

I had the grades, the glasses, and the hair to be a nerd; I was good friends with the nerds, but I could never completely surrender to nerd-dom.

I did not discuss Star Trek (or pretend I was one of the characters) EVERY DAY!!!

I never wore my watch with the dial on the inside of my wrist.

I never read the Hobbitt.

At the middle school I attended, these were the litmus tests for nerds.

I was a token nerd. I had nerd friends that I always thought were a bit on the nerdly eccentric side. But I never really gelled with the "cool" people.

Check this. In the same class, Chemistry. We had to do a large exercise on compounds. Like 200 of them. I did it in one day and sold the answers to anyone who wanted them. (we had two weeks to finish). In the same class, there were a couple cheerleaders that sat in front of me that I gave massages to in class. Yeah, I sat in the back. I didn't get as many back as I liked but for me...it was all about the moaning!

Does it bother you or do you just laugh it off and agree?

I don't think the issue was ever really in doubt for me. Web developer, computer games, LoTR, RPGs... nahhh, I couldn't possibly be a geek. I'm too cool for that ;)
