For active duty military interested in visiting WDW

My daughter is in the Mideast and unable to take advantage of the military salute. I wrote WDW and this is their reply. I hope it will help someone else!!


"Thank you for your email to the Walt Disney World® Resort.

I'm pleased that you would like to visit our Resort and participate in
Disney's Armed Forces Salute. It is certainly understandable that many of
you are not in the position to take advantage of this offer prior to its
expiration date in April.

Since we want you to be able to take part in this special offer, I have set
up Service File 4695822 to extend the ticket portion of this promotion until
the end of the year. You will need to present valid military
identification, as well as your orders indicating you were unable to take
leave during the entire offer period, and this Service File number, at a
Guest Relations window at one of our Theme Parks. Please note that this
offer will be valid until the end of December 2002. However, the resort
offer is only valid until April 30, 2002. For more information on hotel
accommodations, please call the Disney Reservation Center at 407-W-DISNEY.

I think it's great that Disney is trying to recognise the service of the Military but does'nt it make you feel sorry for the poor CM's at the Ticket Desks or Guest Relations who have to decipher all the rules and regulations of who is entitled to what discounts? It's no wonder you get an different answer to the same question when they have a gizillion different options on offer!
