Just skimmed through all the previous posts! We're going at the same time as you! Sep 30- Oct 10! Maybe we'll run into each other!

I just wanted to comment on a few things since it seemed like we have a ton in common! First of all - regarding planning for the wedding before even getting a ring - that's not that awful...my (now) DH and I had put down a deposit & picked our date BEFORE he ever gave me my ring his parents were even there helping us choose the location. It was pretty funny!

Second, I'm so jealous that you live in the Finger Lakes region!! We visited last September for a week - rented a house on Seneca Lake so that our dogs could go swimming (have a lab/golden mix and a chihuahua/terrier mix). We had a BLAST - brought back over 8 cases of wine. It was awesome. Canandaigua was a beautiful town - Sonnenberg mansion was fun, and we enjoyed going around all the lakes. Definitely want to return, though we were surprised by all the menonites in between wine country...

Lastly, did you guys do the Give a Day thing? I ask because we did and plan to use the FP's. I wasn't sure about your current schedule as I think I read it a couple different times...sorry for not reading more closely. We did GAD and plan to use the FP's for 2 of our days, and would love to share with you guys if our planned days match up & you're interested

So fun! Be sure to say hi if you see us around! We didn't do Give a Day (they had some weird options for this area.) But I used the Birthday Fastpasses last year and it was awesome! And thanks for the offer, but I have a feeling this trip will be a little all over the place as far as planning goes. Whenever I go with my parents we always start with one plan and wind up doing something completely different

I'm glad to hear we're/I'm not totally crazy about the wedding thing. Really, we've been planning the honeymoon aspect of it (it affects my Disney plans for next year...I have a reason! ) We're totally obsessed with a Med. Cruise on the Celebrity Equinox

It's so dangerous living in this area! We just bought a new wine rack that holds 30 bottles because we're constantly bringing more wine home

Engagement Watch 2010 is OVER!

We went for a walk at a local park with Bandit today, since it was so nice. We were on one of the wooded paths and I was talking about getting cupcakes, and then I turned and he had a ring box! I was totally speachless, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! So now we're engaged and I'm bouncing off the walls

And yes, we're totally getting the "Just Engaged" buttons at Disney! And I might try to sneak in a visit to the Wedding Pavilion

I saw this on your Facebook just a bit ago and had to get over here too! What an AWESOME proposal! I just love the intimacy of it...just hanging out, doing life and boom! there's the ring. And a gorgeous ring!

A bachleorette party at Disney sounds perfect to me.

And Disney weddings certainly aren't cheap and everyone has to pay to get there, etc.

True, but everyone would have to pay to get here...which ironically might be more expensive than traveling to Orlando. But that's why it was a real possibility. I really liked the idea until yesterday, when the ring was on my finger and decided that no, I don't really want that.
