FOOD, WINE, AND SANDERSON SISTERS OH MY!

Magic Kingdom- 10/9 The Sanderson Sisters Come Out to Play

Day 2 had us up early to get ready for our MK day. The park was going to be open from 9-8 and we really wanted to get as much park time as possible. We had an ADR for CRT @ 12:35. I made this ADR as soon as it was announced it was going to be open for our trip. Danielle had been working as a seater here when the park was shut down. She was really looking forward to seeing some of her old co-workers and to eat here as a guest.

This was also our day we were dressing up as the Sanderson Sisters. There was no party or after-hour event in 2020, but they did allow people to dress up. We had way too much fun putting our costumes together. Most of what we used came from Amazon. Michelle and I had our outfits together way in advance, but Danielle waited until the last minute.

Michelle and I started our day with some coffee on the balcony.

We found out how bad the lighting was in the bathroom as we all tried to get ready. I think we would have made it for rope drop if we hadn't stopped to make this fun little video in the hallway outside the room

We were on a bus by 8:40 am and headed to the park.

Once we got to the park can you guess what we did first?

If you guessed rent a locker than you would be right. We had plans to change part way through the day.

We were soon seeing this. This was our first fall trip so we were all excited to see the decorations.

And best of all this.

We were disappointed that there were no Photo Pass Photographers to get our official picture. I understand why, they didn't want people stopping on Main Street and being too close to one another.

We offered to take someone's picture and then they took ours.

We had a little fun taking these pictures.

We then walked back down Main Street and put the huge ears in our locker. We did handmake the ears and they were really cute but way too big to wear all day.

The pictures were done and were all a little more comfortable so it was not time to ride a ride. Where should be go first?
I love the pictures and the look.

Oh yes!

And not tell us again!

Take the tour.

No! I guess I don't know the whole story after all.

I think the tour is different depending on who gives the tour. I'm sure each guide has their own special tidbits.

Can't wait. :goodvibes

I'm seeing more pictures of the decoration each day. They're so much better than what we saw in 2020.

I'm excited for you too!

Whelp.... already up to 10 pages and I've missed all of it. UGH. But grad school is no joke. :( I think the DIS is going to be hit and miss for me for a while longer, certainly until I pass Pharmacology next term. Sigh.....

Going back now to read and comment as I can. :)

I’m all caught up. I love all your pictures especially the HM one!
I wish MK would look like that when we go again, lol 😂
I want to try Sleepy Hollow for breakfast one of these trips, I can’t believe I never have tried a waffle there.

You have worked so hard and you're almost there. The Dis will be here when you can get here.

Good luck on the next step.

Magic Kingdom, 10/9/20- The Sanderson Sisters Dine with Royalty

It was finally time to check in for ADR for Cinderella's Royal Table. We were really ready to cool off, take off our masks, be pampered and eat. Michelle had learned on her Labor Day trip how important it was to have a good sit down meal where you could relax and take off the masks.

Just being in the check in area was cooler than out in the sun. There was a breeze that helped so much.

We let Danielle do the honors of checking us in. She also checked to see if anyone she knew was working. She had chatted with a few former workers on the Facebook site before our trip. The CMs all have the earpieces in so they're able to communicate and get the word out she was there.

Her friend K was working she came out to say hello.

She was then treated to visit from Eddy. He was one of her favorite coordinators. Danielle really liked working with Eddy, he treated her like a kid sister. She had missed telling him goodbye when Covid shut the parks down due to him visiting him home in Venezuela and having to quarantine when he came back. Eddy let her take a look at what tables and servers where available to see what she wanted. She didn't know any of the servers working but she did find a table on the window. We had to wait a bit but it was worth it.

Here is the menu. It's not the same as the one posted now. I'm going to warn you now that I did not get photos of all the food, only my food.

We waited for a bit but not too long. It was sad that we only passed through the lobby with no photo with Cinderella. We were seated at a table by the beautiful windows with a view of Fantasyland. It was heaven to sit down, take off our masks and have some refreshing water.

Cinderella's Royal Table is a prix fix menu. We had to pay for the meal when we booked it. I won't say this meal is worth cost based on the food alone, but for us it was worth it on this day. The experience and the memories for all of us was worth it. We made our food choices by viewing the menus on our phones. I think we all had the salad for our appetizers but we each ordered a different entre. Danielle ordered the beef, Michelle had the chicken and I had the fish of the day which was salmon. Michelle ordered a wine flight to share. Danielle had finally turned 21 over the summer so she could enjoy the wine too.

While we waited for our food I took a bio break. I got a little confused when I got to the restrooms. The ladies room was on the opposite side from what I was use to them being. I did a double check on the door to make sure I was entering the correct restroom, yes I have entered the wrong room at other restaurants in the World. I had the correct door but when I entered and looked around there were urinals on the wall along with stalls. I hurried and finished up before I was found to be in the wrong room. While I was washing my hands another lady and her child came in and did the same double take as I did. I think they were working on the bathrooms and had switched up the Princess restroom with the Prince restroom. Not too long after I returned to the table our food started coming. Here is my salad, which was very refreshing and no longer on the menu. It was Castle Salad -hearty mixed greens, toasted pumpkin seeds, Riesling-marinated golden raisins, pink lady apples and maple-balsamic vinaigrette.

Continued in next post.

So now you get a double post. ;)

We were really ready to cool off, take off our masks, be pampered and eat.
I'll bet!! Masks made it almost unbearable. :(

How fun!!! Like VIPs for reals!
She had missed telling him goodbye when Covid shut the parks down due to him visiting him home in Venezuela and having to quarantine when he came back.
Awww, I'm so glad she could connect again!
The experience and the memories for all of us was worth it.
I love this!
yes I have entered the wrong room at other restaurants in the World.
Sigh... story of my Disney-touring life.
I had the correct door but when I entered and looked around there were urinals on the wall along with stalls.
Just... what?!

More food photos.

Here is my Salmon. Because it was the fish of the day I don't see a detailed description. It was good, not great but good.

We all got the same desert, The Clock Strikes Twelve-dark chocolate mousse with a dark chocolate ganache served with a raspberry sauce. It was very pretty and tasted good too. Danielle showed us the proper way to break it open. When you work in the restaurants you get to try all the different dishes.

While we were eating Cinderella came out a few time to greet everyone from a distance. I know she came out at least twice.

1661027027854.png

At some point Danielle went to use the restroom and ran into some more CMs she knew. She got a kick out of them telling her the the buzz was that the Sanderson Sisters were eating there. They had no idea Danielle was one of them.

Here are a few more CRT shots to close out the chapter.

This will close out this chapter but we still have more to share from this day.

Thanks for sticking with us.

Your meal looked pretty good actually. Salmon is so easy to completely dry out and wreck. Dessert sure was pretty as well!

I just love that she ran into a few more CMs she knew and it cracks me up that you all were the subject of fun gossip! LOL!

So glad Danielle got to catch up with some friends. Boy you do look hot in those masks-I can only imagine how relieved you must have been to sit down and take them off!
You got a great table and the food looks pretty decent to me. We ate in Cinderella's castle on Christmas Day 1998 with my brother-in-law and his family. It was before alcohol was allowed in MK. He was not feeling the magic having no wine with his dinner lol

I'll bet!! Masks made it almost unbearable. :(

Looking back, I don't know how we did it.

Sigh... story of my Disney-touring life.

Kindred spirits.

It was a good meal, but the prices they charge for CRT is outrageous.

We were the novelties.

It was such a relief to get them off in some AC.

The food was good but still overpriced.

Sounds like he needs a do over. We ate here for Thanksgiving 2002. Danielle was 3 and being a stinker. My cousin, her godmother told her if she didn't behave the Evil-Stepmother was coming for her. We were seated by a door so Danielle truly believed she was coming from that door.
