FOOD, WINE, AND SANDERSON SISTERS OH MY!

Oh, how amazing for Danielle to be going to Disneyland!! That's still on my list for someday!

Staying in the cabins sounds charming....hopefully the one bathroom turns out to be charming, too, LOL. THe campfire singalong sounds SO fun--I would definitely keep that on my list! We've never stayed there, but it always sounds like such a great adventure to add on to an already magical trip. Christmas is our favorite time to visit--the decorations are just so WOW!!

Crossing my fingers that Danielle’s holidays are approved 🤞

Thanks! Facetimed her a little while ago and still not word.

I’m sure you can’t wait to have her home and to visit her in Florida too.

We are all so lonely for her and her for us.

The cabins look fun and there is loads for kids to do at FW so I’m sure you will all have a great time 😊

I'm hoping we do. I think it's perfect for kids.

Exciting news! It'll be interesting to hear how Danielle likes Disneyland - it's very different but so charming and really has a "Walt" feel to it. And I definitely like some of the rides better there.

She is so excited. We Facetimed earlier and she showed up some clothes she has purchased for the trip. I told her she better send us lots of photos and post on Instagram.

We stayed in a FW cabin years ago, I think my youngest was 3 or 4?? We really liked it - very calm and peaceful after crazy days in the parks. Since we drove that trip, we didn't rent the golf cart, just used our car to get around the resort. The layout of the cabin is great and gives extra room when you have a bigger family and really we liked that - and there's the deck outside too which added to the space. And it's great not having any noisy neighbors. The murphy bed was super comfortable too!

I am looking forward to less hustle and bustle. Dennis is against renting the golf cart. The cabin did look like it had more room than a resort room. I'm hoping we send the pre-teen out to the deck when she needs some space. It will be nice to not hear our neighbors like we did last trip.

DH and I are headed back for just a quick weekend trip in a couple of weeks and we were just going to hang at the resort (booked Saratoga Springs for the first time!) but I caved and bought a one-day ticket for Epcot. Figured that would be a good choice for an adults only day, with F&W festival going on. Really looking forward to a Disney fix, even though it will be short.

Your adult getaway sound so good. I would have to cave and get a park day too. Epcot is the best fit for adults only.

That's a perfect table. I've been to CRT a couple times and have only been sat in the center of the room. We actually really liked our food there last year and all think it's much better than BOG, even though it's a little more.

I agree that I like it better than BOG. We really liked our window table.

Yay! We are going right after you, 12/3-12/10. I know it's a super busy time for DVC but I'm not sure why all the resorts would be booked?

Our original dates would have put us there at the same time. I'm sorry I'm going to miss you this time.

It's on my list for someday too. I can't wait to hear what she thinks about it when she gets back.

Here's hoping the one bathroom doesn't turn into a disaster. I did see there was bathrooms near the pool area in the cabin loop. Of course we could send all the males out to mark their territory around the cabin. :rotfl2: I have been wanting to do the Campfire singalong since our Thanksgiving 2002 trip with our family group of 15. My aunt and her family staying in the RV at Fort Wilderness and got to go, but we didn't make it. :sad2: This is our 3rd Christmas time trip so I'm really looking forward to it. If Danielle stays for awhile I'm hoping to make it an annual trip.

I know how you feel with the adulting of the youngest child  I’m thinking Danielle is your youngest? I could be wrong. Andi is my youngest and she will be 23 in November, ugh 😩
She was home the beginning of August and I’m hoping she can spare a weekend in late September to come home and see her parents!
I was last at Disneyland in 2002, a long time ago!
I’m sure Danielle will have such a great trip!
I hope you like the cabins at FW! You will get to see all the campsites decorated for Christmas, I would love that!
We went the first week in December last year and it was nice and not really busy.
I wonder why it is so busy this year, amazing how people continue to travel so much despite the cost of everything!

Danielle turned 23 in June and yes, she is the youngest. It's been a real adjustment.

I was last at Disneyland in 2002, a long time ago!

I've never been and want to go so bad. It's time for you to go back.

I’m sure Danielle will have such a great trip!

I hope so!

I want to see the campsites decorated too.

We were there last year at this same time and it wasn't too bad. I wonder if they are planning for big Pop Warner football/cheer thingy. I saw it was that time last year and prior to covid.

We stayed at FW this past February. (Although we had our camper.) We did rent a golf cart (offsite) and would do so again. We enjoyed driving it around to the bus stop, boat dock, and just taking a look around the campground. The cabins look very nice!

Time for a Change in Outfits - MK Saturday, October 9, 2020

I left off with us finishing our wonderfully relaxing lunch at CRT. It was now time to reenter the heat. We exited to building rain clouds and The Villains Cavalcade. It really was perfect timing.

We followed the parade back down Main Street as I was texting with Renee. She, her husband Chad and their 2 boys were at the other end of Main Street. We found them and spent a few minutes visiting. This was the first time we had met IRL. I think Chad is originally from Louisiana or his family is. It's great meeting them but we both forgot to take a photo.

We finished our trek down Main Street back to the lockers. It was time to get out of our costumes and get comfortable.

We made our way up Main Street and took some PhotoPass pictures to document our change. We were going with a Nightmare Before Christmas look. Michelle and Danielle are Jack and Sally and I think I'm Zero.

We took this opportunity to do some shopping after waiting in line outside once again for our turn to enter the Emporium. The AP discount was 30% while we where there. We could not let those savings get away.

When we came back out to head up Main Street we caught the Rainy Day Cavalcade. I don't remember it raining but I guess the clouds were threatening enough for the Rainy Day Cavalcade.

It really was cute and I'm glad we caught it.

More to come. . .

The heat was getting to us, so of course it was time to get a treat to cool off with. We grabbed some Dole Whips and headed for some shade. The Frontierland Arcade was not open so we found a shady spot to enjoy our treats. I went with the Pineapple and ice cream swirl. A Dole Whip is a must for all trips.

We stayed in the shade until we heard music and singing. What is this? Why it was The Cadaver Dans performing. What a treat! I really enjoyed catching this.

Fully refreshed after our cooling treat and the wonderful sounds of the Dans we headed to Fantasyland and my favorite FL ride Peter Pan. This was the spaced out line.
1661997727618.png

It took about 15 minutes to get to this point in the line. Not too bad.

1661997863553.png

Small World was having some entrance work done so he line looked like this.

Even during uncrowded Covid this area was still a bottleneck. IASW was a no for us this trip.

We stopped for more PhotoPass pictures after Peter Pan

It was now about 5:45 and the park was closing at 8. How many more rides could we get in before close?

Stay tuned.

Love the outfit changes and accompanying photos. Actually I simply love your outfit as an outfit- that coral colour is gorgeous on you 🥰
Nothing better than a dole whip except maybe a dole whip and the Cadaver Dans.
Love PP always a must do ( except this last trip when all my must dos hit the fan 😞- I need a do over trip so bad). I’m guessing you got 3 more rides done 🤔🤞

The Villains Cavalcade
Don't know if that was running while we were there. I don't think so? Pretty cool, though.
This was the first time we had met IRL.
DISmeets are always great. :)
We managed one very brief meet.
It was time to get out of our costumes and get comfortable.
You visited MK in your underwear???
We were going with a Nightmare Before Christmas look. Michelle and Danielle are Jack and Sally and I think I'm Zero.
Cute idea. But... you "think" you're Zero??? :lmao:
The AP discount was 30% while we where there. We could not let those savings get away.
Whoa! Nice!

A man in search of some rain.
Wonder if he's supposed to be Gene Kelly?
A Dole Whip is a must for all trips.
::yes::
Why it was The Cadaver Dans performing. What a treat! I really enjoyed catching this.
Nice! Missed them this last trip. Just... so much to do and so little time.
my favorite FL ride Peter Pan.
That's no contest. 7DMT doesn't even come close!
It took about 15 minutes to get to this point in the line. Not too bad.
For that ride, that's almost a walk on.
Small World was having some entrance work done so he line looked like this.
That looks really weird. I didn't know they had done that. It was all finished when we went.
Cute photo. Too bad you didn't do that one in your Sanderson Sisters outfits too.

You guys are too cute! I love that your outfit change was still on theme :) The Photopass pics are just wonderful, despite the masks, your expressions are so great.

Glad you got to see Chad and Renee, too! They're so much fun! I am still kicking myself over my first Dismeet with two friends where none of us took a pic either!

Thank you! I really like this top too. I really try to buy things I'll use more than once, I'm cheap like that.

Nothing better than a dole whip except maybe a dole whip and the Cadaver Dans.

It was perfect!

Love PP always a must do ( except this last trip when all my must dos hit the fan 😞- I need a do over trip so bad). I’m guessing you got 3 more rides done 🤔🤞

Moira you need a do over trip for just you. I really enjoyed my solo trip in April.

Don't know if that was running while we were there. I don't think so? Pretty cool, though.

This was in 2020, I think it was their answer to now Halloween Party.

DISmeets are always great. :)
We managed one very brief meet.

Can't wait to read about it.

You visited MK in your underwear???

Cute idea. But... you "think" you're Zero??? :lmao:

Michelle and Danielle planned out their matching outfits and Michelle said I could be Zero since I was wearing white and my shirt was orange like his nose.

Wonder if he's supposed to be Gene Kelly?

It's a good impression.

Nice! Missed them this last trip. Just... so much to do and so little time.

Always.

That's no contest. 7DMT doesn't even come close!

Totally agree!

That looks really weird. I didn't know they had done that. It was all finished when we went.

This was when they were moving the entrance from one end of the ride to the other.

Cute photo. Too bad you didn't do that one in your Sanderson Sisters outfits too.

You're right, it would have been perfect. Did you get some special shots at the party?

Ah, okay. That makes sense.
Michelle and Danielle planned out their matching outfits and Michelle said I could be Zero since I was wearing white and my shirt was orange like his nose.
And your mask has pink on it...

I accept.
This was when they were moving the entrance from one end of the ride to the other.
 I didn't even notice!
You're right, it would have been perfect. Did you get some special shots at the party?
::yes::
