FOOD, WINE, AND SANDERSON SISTERS OH MY!

How exciting for Danielle! I'd love to get out to DL one day. I'm sure she will have a blast and will hopefully enjoy the break from work.

Love your outfit change! I applaud you three for having not one, but two costumes planned for a single park day. That's impressive. And both sets looked amazing.

Mmm, there's nothing better than a Dole Whip on a hot day. The perfect afternoon snack.

definitely starting a piggy bank just for WDW

Hope it grows fast!

She's real excited. Only a few more days until they leave.

I learned several trips ago to have a second second of clothes for each day when it's hot. When we take breaks we usually change out. We didn't have time for breaks this trip due to the shortened hours but we still needed to be refreshed.

Yes it is!

She works long shifts so she hasn't been playing in the parks as much. She spends her days off doing adulting, cleaning, grocery shopping and washing clothes.
Ahhh becoming an adult!

We ended up booking the Saturday after Thanksgiving through the 1st.
Oh Man!!! That is when we would have been there if we kept our trip! One day we will meet up.

John Paul has only 2 requests. He wants Blue Milk and doesn't want to ride Slinky Dog.
Poor Guy! Maybe he will concour his fear one day!

Fort Wilderness will be fun! And the golf cart will be a rid in itself if you decide to get one.

We stayed at FW this past February. (Although we had our camper.) We did rent a golf cart (offsite) and would do so again. We enjoyed driving it around to the bus stop, boat dock, and just taking a look around the campground. The cabins look very nice!

We're getting really excited about our stay at Fort Wilderness. I'm working on Dennis to try and get him to agree to a golf cart but he keeps saying no.

I hope so, I'm also worried about him finding some new fears.

I agree! Dennis keeps saying no golf cart.

Great pics!

Thank you! and Welcome!

Danielle will be finishing up her DL vacation and heading back to Orlando tomorrow. We have really enjoyed her photos and updates. If you follow her Instagram she has dropped a few posts and some in her stories. She has had a really had a great time. She didn't go to D23 but could have. R and T went while she and S played in the parks. It was very interesting on Sunday as the announcements were made, the guys were texting her then she would text us. They walked right past Josh Gad in DCA on the same day he got inducted. The best siting she had was meeting Jordan Fisher the same day he sang Happily Ever After in the Marvel area of DCA.

They have spent most of their time in the parks. They did drive around and see some of the real places that are represented in the WDW parks. They also went to Malibu yesterday and she FaceTimed us while she was there. She was so thrilled to see Fantasmic. I'll share a few of her pictures.

She did tell me that S now works Guest Relations in DHS, so if you ever need help she is there.

We had a few changes to our trip plans. John Paul will be driving down with us and back on Saturday, December 3rd. I booked us 2 nights at Coronado standard view, it was the ONLY thing available. I was really worried about Michelle flying back with 3 kids by herself so this should help some. She will now be traveling with Gia who is 12 and Dominic. I'm really surprised Dennis agreed so easily since he hates giving any more money to Disney, but he does want to see The Candlelight Processional so we're shooting for that on Friday the 2nd and not going to a park on the 1st when we switch resorts. Time is really flying by right now.

Magic Kingdom-Friday, October 9, 2020-How many rides can we do?

We finished up with Winnie the Pooh and started walking towards Under the Sea at around 5:45. The park was closing for 8 and we were hoping to ride some more rides and get something to eat. Lets see how we did.

A few pictures of Fantasyland as we walked

We were almost on the ride around 6:21.

We rushed off of Under the Sea and headed to Splash Mountain. It was a must do for us this trip since it had been announced it would be changing over to Tianna's ride. Of course we all know that has not happened yet and it has been almost 2 years since that trip. Once we got over to Splash we found this for our wait time.

1663116585837.png

80 minutes!!! I think everyone else had the same idea. The line was all the way back to Pirates and curved back around, of course part of that was due to the spacing. We decided to wait and yes it was a long wait.

See that hat Danielle is wearing? This was her Emporium purchase to help her combat the heat. It ended up being a very good purchase.

It was 7:48 when we saw this.

1663116916689.png
We now had to make a choice. We could try and grab some food at Pecos Bills or ride BTMRR. We had just enough time to jump in the line for BTMRR before close, so of course we chose to forgo the food for a night time ride on The Wildest Ride in the Wilderness. There was no line and we walked right on and was off by 8 pm. So, if you guessed 3 rides like Moira @luvpoohandcompany you would be right.

It was too late to get any food what so ever but not too late to enjoy the park all lite up. We wandered over to the Castle hub and enjoyed the pumpkins and Castle lit up. We also had plenty of room to lay around and enjoy some Hub Grass.

Hub Grass really is the best.

We took our time getting to the bus so we didn't catch our ride until right before 9.
1663117674112.png

When we returned to Kidani we stopped in the store to get some food from the grab and go. I had a turkey sandwich, chips and a water. Michelle had yogurt and fruit and Danielle had a frozen spaghetti dinner. I did use my AP discount so we at least saved some money. Not the best meal but it filled our tummies. I think this was my biggest complaint for this trip, the lack of food choices and what was available closed so early.

I almost forgot the Zebra Domes.

The best part of the night was catching Hocus Pocus on when we turned on the TV. This was the perfect ending to our day.

It didn't take us long to get comfortable in our beds. Our next day would be Epcot and our first taste of Food and Wine, sort of. This year was an abbreviated Food and Wine combined with what was left over from the shortened Flower and Garden. Epcot would not open until 11 so we didn't have as early a morning. I was looking forward to eating at the resort and getting some Mickey Waffles.

What an awesome Disneyland adventure, even just from the highlights!!! I'm sure she'll come home with even more stories to share.

Love how you spent the last hours of your MK day. Sitting in the hub grass just soaking up the atmosphere is one of my favorite things to do, and all the more magical at night with everything lit up! (The only thing that would have made it better is some corn dogs from Casey's!) :)

Hocus Pocus on TV is perfection for your bedtime picnic.

What a great evening at MK and Hocus Pocus on the telly really was an appropriate movie to end your day. Love all the photos 😊

And oh so tired. She had today off to rest but will be back at work tomorrow.

This was the first time we have taken the time to just sit on the hub grass. The lower crowds really helped with this. We haven't done it since then. I agree some nuggies would have been perfect. I don't think Casey's was open yet.

I'm glad we agree on this.

How fun! I love the song but if I saw him in a park, I'd probably just walk right by him!

Disneyworld Update.
Danielle and her fellow CMs are all preparing for Ian. She did call me today from work to let me know they would be closed Wednesday and Thursday. Those are her regular days off so no big change for her. She did have a ticket to the Halloween party for Thursday and is still waiting to hear what she can do. The rest of the parties are sold out. She not very worried about Ian since she has been through so many hurricanes here. Her roommates are all from up North so they are very worried. Dennis sent her a long text a few days ago to remind her of what she needed to do to get ready. She forwarded to all her friends. She worked a mid shift today and wasn't running the restaurant, but doing projects including getting Backlot ready for Ian. She got off at 5 and went to try and get some more supplies. She is now headed back to help finish getting Backlot ready. She is not going to be part of the crew staying in the park overnight, but doesn't that sound fun. She did say the CMs staying would be feed by the Brown Derby. I know this will be a very big experience for all the CMs who have never been through a hurricane. Everyone always says that Disney prepares the best so we shall see. I hope and pray that everyone will be safe. We also have family in the Tampa area.

Now for some good news. Danielle's vacation was approved and she has booked her flights. She is coming home for the first time in over a year for the last weekend in October. She will fly in very early Thursday morning. I'll be working from home that week so I'll get to visit with her Thursday and Friday. We will be headed out Friday afternoon for a family get together with Dennis' family. We come back home on the Sunday and she will fly back to Orlando on the Tuesday afternoon. We all so excited she's coming home! We will of course be treating her to some good Louisiana food.

Today was ADR day. I was the one up before 5 am our time to make our ADRs. I didn't get everything I wanted or all the times we wanted but it wasn't too bad. We aren't planning on doing a set meal for our arrival day. We have Mama Melrose's for lunch on our DHS day. It's a placeholder for now. I really want a Fantasmic Dining Package if they come out before we go. We also have a late afternoon Oga's reservation. No one really asked for one but I would like to go and I would rather have one than not have one. We have a Be Our Guest lunch for our MK day. This was Dennis' request even though he was not impressed when we did it in 2019. We may not keep this. I have a LTT dinner as a back up. I really wanted a Space 220 lounge ADR but there was none for the entire week. Danielle and I enjoyed this so much in April and I know JP would love it and Dennis has always wanted to eat here. I did set up a reservation finder with Touring Plans, fingers crossed it comes through. We have a Teppan Edo late lunch ADR for backup. We did get the late breakfast ADR for Tusker House we wanted for our Animal Kingdom day. This was Michelle's request. We took JP when he was little and he loved it so much. I made an ADR for Rainforest Cafe in DS for our non park, transition of resorts day for dinner. We haven't eaten at Rainforest since 2002 and I think JP will enjoy it. I also have a $25 Landry credit plus I should have my birthday credit too. We just did Trex in June so I don't want to do that again. I would like to do Yak & Yeti but Tusker House wins out. We're still debating doing a Candlelight Processional package for the last park day. Dennis really wanted to do the CP but when it was announced that the narrator for our day would be Whoopi he wasn't thrilled, for him she just doesn't compare to having Jodi Benson like we did last year. I would like to hear her. I thinks she's a great storyteller. I am happy that the reservations open Oct 6th and will try to get one as a back up.

Boy, time is just flying by. Can you believe it's almost the end of September? I know everyone else is really busy right now and it will just get busier.

Epcot-Saturday, October 10, 2020-Food and Wine here we come!

Today's plan was for Epcot. The hours were 11-9. We also had an ADR for Beaches & Cream for 5:15

I'm going to go ahead and say it now, this was not our best day. Never go to Epcot on a Saturday during Food and Wine. Even with reduced capacity it seemed more crowed here than the other parks, especially when everyone was so concerned with keeping their distance. It was also very hot. We really did not need an ADR with all the food options available at the food booths. We also did not get near as much food as we wanted due to the heat. It wasn't a bad day, just not our best.

We did sleep in a little. I was the first person ready so I volunteered to go get breakfast started. Sanaa was doing a grab and go breakfast for both Kidani and Jambo House since nothing else was open, another example of the limited food options. I grabbed my backpack and headed out. I did not realize until I saw someone coming off the elevator that I had forgotten to put on my mask. Bad memory! I had a mask in my bag, just forgot to put it on. I have a habit of unpacking what I don't need and repacking what I do every night before going to bed so I had some masks, just not presently on my face. I quickly put my mask on while I was in the elevator alone.
1664323894056.png

I ordered some food for all of us. Most of the options were just grab and go like the muffin, croissant, drinks and fruit. I also ordered some Mickey waffles with bacon. I really wanted to get a table by the window in the large part of the seating area, but they were all taken. I did get a table by the window in the small room to the right when you first walk in.
