What snacks shoul my mom and C consider bringing onboard? They are planning on a few 6 packs due to being picky coke drinkers

DCL serves Coke products.

As for snacks....you can get just about whatever you want on board. They'll be so full with meals they won't WANT snacks.

We had a package done up by Shirley for the kids with chips and doritos and candy and toys. We took most of the snacks home. We weren't in the room long enough to even think about eating it and when we were there we weren't hungry.

Snacks???? Man I wouldn't have had room to eat another thing after the meals onboard!!

You certainly will have plenty of food to eat and snack on at all times. You can order from Room Service at any time--24 hours a day should you want something...and you can always hit Scoops for icecream or fruit.

Should you find that you want additional "goodies" they do sell them near the Walt Disney Theater (candy, chips, popcorn etc.) We have always been so full from meals and Scoops, etc. that we have never needed the snacks.

We took a six pack of soda for me on the cruise, and a bottle of wine for pre-dinner sipping on the verandah. Our ice bucket was filled whenever I asked, and I took a little cooler of Diet Coke over to CC with me. Other than that, I wouldn't take anything at all. The food is terrific, and you can get tasty snacks any time fo the day or night! Enjoy!

I'm just doing the research for my mom(but thanks :) ) I should explain that mom drinks Dr.Pepper and C drinks Pepsi

ahhh, Coke in your first post meaning "soda" or carbonated beverage and not Coca Cola.

Then they will need to pack the sodas.

SueEllen: That's what I figured about the sodas since DCL is Coke only

Definately don't waste your luggage space taking extra food....just not worth it.

We've been on 3 cruises and we always bring candy bars. My whole family loves chocolate and I didn't want to have to go down to the theater every time we wanted something. And, since our kids are little we brought fruit snacks, juice boxes and granola bars to keep them happy on excursions.:sunny:

the "cooler" in your room will hold about 24 cans. but thats all that will be in there. also it takes about 36-48 hrs to chill them if warm. i thought i would let you know that important fact:yo-yo:

We always bring juice boxes with us and a few soda. I never find that it takes that many hours for everything to get chilled, usually it's graet by the next day. We also bring some pretzels and goldfish for our kids cabins so they can have alittle snack whenever they feel like it.

I can back up the story that the onboard referigerators will take for ever to chill any drinks you bring on board.

From my experience, I would suggest not taking any extra food on board (there is plenty of free food). But I would also recomend bringing some of your own cans of soda/pop/coke to keep in your room.

Unless you purchase the special mug (which I seem to recall is somewhere around $30, someone please correct me), every time you want a drink, your going to have to pay for it except at scheduled meals. For example, if you go to Pluto's to get a burger and fries, they don't have drinks. You have to go across the way to the bar and PURCHASE as drink to go with your burger.

The first time we sailed (just a few months after the Disney Magic was launched), getting ice in our room was near impossible. But since then, Disney seems to have gotten their act together and we always has ice in our room. It's been great that any time we were sitting in our cabin, we could get a soda poured over ice without leaving the cabin or having to pay extra.
