Food Network, who's your favorite? and not so much?

My wife always said that there's NO WAY Giada actually eats what she cooks.

Giada has admitted to this. She's a salad, lean protein kinda gal in really small portions. I think it's why her recipes haven't turned out so well for me. ANYTHING would taste marvelous after eating lettuce all the time, so she thinks they're grand.

Before I even look at the link, I am going to guess spaghetti and prosciutto are on there.

We get it, Italian was your first language. :crazy2:
:lmao: yes actually. Prosciutto and spaghetti are both on there!! How'd you know? :lmao:

I love "You Gotta Eat Here"!! Also Diners/Drive Ins/Dives and used to like Lynne Crawford's show Pitchin' In.

I like Guy's Grocery Games and Food Truck Face Off. DD LOVES the doughnut one - I don't like it, though and can't stand the host.

Saw Carnival Eats once - also couldn't stand the host.
Yes I also like guys grocery games. Both DDD and GGG are great.

I personally love the competition shows. It's more fun to watch. They do have the classic cooking shows on during the day. So it's a nice compromise.

I've had success with recipes from Pioneer Woman, Ina, Giada, Rachael Ray, Emeril, The Neeleys and Bobby Flay, and I like all of them as personalities as well, though I agree about Giada's pronunciation, and PW's tweeness and Rachael Ray's voice can be obnoxious too.

I love Triple D, but I have never felt compelled to make anything Guy makes on his show. He's cooking for linebackers imo.

I SO agree about Anne Burrell. I think she's so condescending. I love the Food Truck Race, but any other time Tyler Florence is on, I turn the channel. I think he's the worst and so phony.

I can't watch Chopped for any length of time because of Ted Allen. How is he a host? He has less than zero personality. I don't care for Curtis Stone's smarmy personality, but he's a hosting god next to Ted Allen. I do like Aaron Sanchez though.

The phrase "never trust a skinny cook" comes to mind.

Love:

Alton Brown...from his Good Eats days …. but only when he was actually talking about the history, chemistry, and physics of the food. Now, there is something about his mannerisms that cause me to grind my teeth when I sleep. :scared:

Bobby Flay…the only man that might make me give up 30 years of being a vegetarian. I think I shall marinade him and bring him home to grill. :rolleyes1

Ina Garten…but gee.. In a garden???? I can't let it go. And that goofball over-the-top-looks-like-a-J-C-Penny catalog friend who shops for her food (please stop at the convenience store me a pound of Iranian Beluga caviar) and flowers like a good doggie…. :confused3
No doubt though, she is the best FN has to offer.

Not so much:

Guy Fieri- How many adjectives CAN you come up with for a greasy burger and deep fried everything? :headache:

(Humming) "Look at me, I'm Sandra Lee…Dee…Lee" something like that anyway. The end of the end was when she spent thirty minutes turning ice cream, cocoa and food coloring into a "fake' baked potato…and I watched.
She needs to give me that thirty minutes of my life back.

I watch what I cannot eat. :beach:
