We will be staying in a FW cabin for the first time in May. Although we have some ADRs for a couple of places, we plan to take many of our meals in the cabin. Here is what we are planning on bringing. Please let me know if there are some other foods to consider and why I gotta bring it. ;)

Instant Oatmeal packs, cold cereal, milk.
Fruit Bars, granola bites, goldfish, chips, popcorn, and other such snacks.
Fresh fruits, salad fixings (including dressings and croutons)
Hot Dogs, Marshmallows, Smores' fixings. (where can I get sticks for the campfire?)
Ground meat for burgers, chicken., canned baked beans.
BBQ sauce, Ketchup, mustard, pickles, mayo, Seasoned salt.
Deli Meats, cheese, buns, and bread.
Desserts: brownies, cakes, cookies.
Drinks: Juices, Water, Tea Bags (and splenda), Sodas.

What did I forget? Will the cabins have pots, pans, plates, tableware, napkins, etc. I plan on bringing disposals as well.

Thank you much!!!

You can get extendable sticks at Wal-Mart on the camping aisle.
Dont forget :cool1: BEER :cool1: if you drink $12.00 a six pack at FW.:scared1:

I think you must be driving if you are planning to bring all that. If so you must bring a cookie sheet and refrigerated cookie dough! That is a big item for our trips.

Your list is very similar to ours. The cabins have pots, pans, dishes, glasses, silverware but not napkins (and no cookie sheet). They do have paper towels though. We also take paper plates. I also take a good knife because theirs su...er.. um.. stink. :rotfl:

We usually do boboli pizza too.

coffee and basket filters.
salt and pepper
aluminum foil
plastic wrap or plastic baggies
Charcoal and starter fuel
drinking water to take to the parks with crystal light packets
If you need a fry pan ask mousekeeping they will bring you one.
Have a great trip.

Digiornos...its not delivery!
LoneStar mentioned extendable forks on the camping isle at walmart....these are perfect for marshmallows and super cheap....they extend to about 2foot so very safe for the kids. They come in packs of 2 and at $2-$2.50 or so...you can just toss em out when you leave instead of trying to clean that burnt on crusted marshmellow ring off of em.
And bring bottlerockets incase you see a guy named Colson.

Everything you listed can be bought at some large, well appointed super markets
less than 10 miles from FW. But if you intend to grill or BBQ anything I'd bring
my own grill as the ones they provide are like the ones you used to see in rest
areas.....INDESTRUCTIBLEand very nearly worthless.

Liquor and beer tends to be a little higher than where I live.....but it's cheaper
than Ohio.

Also I'd think about a frying pan. soup pot, or crock pot, decent spatula, and a sharp knife.

Why are they worthless?

1. No way to control air, so the only way to control the fire is by dumping
water on it.

2. 5/8 wide grill bars

3. There's enough room between the grates so hotdogs or small sausages
will fall thru if they get turned the wrong way.

4. Because they are open at the bottom, if you've got any wind you better be able to cook on a blast furnace:scared1:

5. The only way I could figure out how to cook a nonfrozen hamburger patty was either in a pan, with an extra grill mesh on top, or on real thick layers
of foil.

Now having said all that, I should probably mention that I'm a BBQ
snob :rotfl2: and it takes me over 2 hrs to do pork ribs or chicken:rolleyes1 That just ain't possible on those "State Park" grills...
leastways fer this 'ol hillbilly it ain't:rotfl2:

I dunno it's kinda like doin toast with a fork over the stove burner....I can do
it....but a toaster does a better job.

I bought a dandy little table top grill at Wally World for 15 bucks.....the two
times we stayed in a cabin I ruined twice that amount of meat on the Disney
provided grill. They would probably be just fine for steaks though.

And just out of curiosity....what are you doin up so late???:lmao:

I'm an old retired Geezer with a bad back...so I got a legitimate excuse..
it's the lumbago:surfweb:

Sounds like you know your way round a grill, need company for dinner??

LOL...Im up because, well.....I usually work at night, but Im off....I promised Id rip the carpet up out of the den....and I screwed around avoiding doing it all day, and well....here I am..STILL not really doing it......but I didnt do it so slowly that Im finally finished at 5am. Its an 18x14ft den...it really should have only taken me an hour...but man, I didnt think there was really anything wrong with that carpet anyway...CaptKen said a womans pet stained carpet is a mans game of twister....dont know what that means, but I thought it might help get me out of work...the ol'lady didnt find any humor in it.:confused3
