Food and Wine? Sounds Divine! An October TR - 12/2 A PTR Link!

Sorry it's been a while! We're leaving for Las Vegas on Friday and i've been working out a bit to get ready for it, in case we decide to hit the pool. I've lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks so i'm pretty happy about that :) I'll be around to catch up on my threads and i'm hoping to get an update in before Friday:thumbsup2

Hope you have a fab time in Vegas!

I didn't realize not going to the pool is even an option.

Have a great time!

If I don't make it back over here before you leave I wanted to wish you a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY and enjoy your Vegas trip!!
:bday: party:

Happy Birthday and enjoy Vegas!!

What happens in Vegas must be shared on the Dis (within Dis guidelines, of course). :teeth:

All caught up! I'm jealous of all your resort hopping - AKL and Contemporary are my top two choices for a future stay (if money was no option!) And all the food and win (and beer!) looks so delicious, it's making me hungry from here. Can't wait for more!

:rotfl: Where did you find 4 pounds to lose? ;) You look fabulous, but I get the pressure of the pool. When I was at Aulani in February, the only bad thing about it is that you have to wear a swimsuit right in the middle of winter, after the holidays :scared:

Have a great trip!!!!

Thanks Linda i'm planning on it!

That's what I thought too. But when I brought pools up to DH he was very adamant that he was not doing the pool thing:confused3 So guess we'll see what happens when we get there.

Thanks Andy!:)

Happy birthday and enjoy your Vegas adventure! :thumbsup2

Thank you Karin! :goodvibes

I think if we didn't have DVC, there is no way we would be always staying in Deluxe resorts, much less resort hopping! I must say that you HAVE to get to AKL someday. It is absolutely amazing and i'm so glad that our 'home' is there!

Oh it's there. I'm just good at hiding it! :lmao:

Agh that's they worst, after the holidays. And you know what, I think whenever we do make it to Hawaii, it will have to be right after Christmas/New Year so i'm going to have to go through what you went through. The struggle is real :rotfl2:

Congrats on losing the 4 pounds! :thumbsup2 And happy birthday - hope you have a wonderful time in Vegas! :goodvibes

I totally missed the last update, I'm sorry. The room is cute but looks on the small side. How was it for the four of you? Love the views, I hope you were able to catch the water parade.

Congrats on the weight loss!

Wonderful news about your SiL and the baby. I'm sure there was some disappointment for a while that it wasn't twins like originally thought.

I'm going to be gone, so

Happy Birthday and have a FABULOUS trip!!!!!!

Hi everyone i've been back for a while now and trying to get back into the swing of things! We had a fantastic time but two things that I wanted to do that I couldn't. One, I was trying to meet up with a DIS'er but the timing was always off so Deanna if you're reading this, i'm so sorry that we couldn't meet! And two, I wasn't able to jump off the Stratosphere :sad2: The day I was supposed to jump it was closed because of wind. And on our last day I decided to call again and they were closed at that time due to wind. It just wasn't meant to be. BUT! I may get to do these 2 things again sooner than you think because DH is already wanting to go back in October :scared1: So we'll see what happens. But for now, how about some pics!

Our first time on a plane without a baby in a few years

Seeing Vegas

Our room at the Bellagio in the Spa Tower

View from the window

This night was not much fun. I'm not sure if it was all the smoke from the casinos or what, but during this Cirque show, I got a massive headache which made my body hurt so as soon as the show ended, I went back to the hotel room to call it a night while the rest of my party went out. I felt better the next day thank goodness

So some people may think this is weird/awkward, but my ex boyfriend works at a Greek restaurant at the Cosmopolitan and told me to make ressies there for lunch and he would hook us up and he did! Free champagne, 2 free apps, a free dessert for me and gave us 20% off our bill. Cool dude!

You can actually see him in the reflection in the glasses!

We left the boys to gamble and we walked the strip

And hit up M&M World

Last night in Vegas

Down at Fremont. I wasn't sure about turning 30 that day

This drink helped though

Last shot of Vegas from the plane

I'll get caught up on everyones TR's asap!!!

Happy to see this update - I was actually just thinking of you earlier and wondering how Vegas went. Sounds like mostly good (minus the one night). Looks like fun, I haven't been there in a very long time. Great pictures! :thumbsup2 Oh, and hope you had a happy birthday - 30 is YOUNG! :goodvibes (strangely enough, my mom and I were discussing this earlier tonight - how everyone thinks they're "old" when they're 30 :rotfl:)

I had forgotten that you went to Las Vegas, I had kind of been wondering where you fell off the planet to! :rotfl:

It looks like you had a good time in Vegas and since your DH wants to go back, you must have had a great time. That's one thing about Vegas that sucks is all the smoke. We try to hit the smoke free sections in the Casinos. I can't really rewear any of shirts in Vegas either, by the second day, they reek of smoke.

Did you dine at any fancy restaurants? You look really nice in all the pictures.

You sure look like you had a ball in Vegas! Aside from looking like you had a ball, you DEFINITELY looked like the belle of the ball. I loved all the dresses and clothes you wore on the Vegas getaway. Absolutely gorgeous.

And Happy 30th Birthday. 30 isn't so bad.....wait another decade or so.

Did it feel strange not having the little one around?

I'm so sorry we couldn't work it out to meet up! If you come back in October, we'll definitely get it together. I can tell you I won't have any wedding responsibilities to worry about then. It looks like you guys were having an amazing time, though! It sucks that you got sick during your show, did you enjoy it otherwise? I'm always wrecked after a night out on the strip. My voice sounds like an 80 year old chain smoker. The worst is when you get to bed after a night out and you want to shower because the smell of smoke in your hair is making you nauseous. How was Milo's? I haven't tried there yet. Your room at the Bellagio looked really nice! As it should per Bellagio standards. My husband used to work there and said it looks like they've recently refurbed. Always a bonus in my book. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed yourselves and that you plan to return. Start thinking about where you want to go and maybe we can plan a night out to dinner somewhere fancy =) Or totally reversed and do Vegas locals style off the strip. Bar Forte is delish... I've had that place on the brain for a few days now, I'll have to try to get there soon...

Welcome back! Thanks for sharing the Vegas photos. What a great way to celebrate. Other than the night of the headache it sounds like you had a great time. :)

Your black dress from the Cirque show is very pretty. Actually, you look stunning in all the photos. :thumbsup2

Great photos! All your outfits are so pretty. Nice job lady :thumbsup2

I think that's cool that your ex-BF hooked you guys up. Yay for the sneaky photo where we got to see him :)

Looks like a great weekend and a nice way to celebrate the big 3-0. :thumbsup2

I'm sorry you weren't feeling well the evening of the cirque show, but I'm glad you recovered and got to enjoy yourself!

Great photo update, Lesha! :goodvibes

It looks like you had a fab time in LV (apart from the headache one night).
