hi,

this will be our first food and wine festival, and we are looking forward to it. i would like to try something at every booth. What was your must have, or glad we tried it cos it wasn't something we would have normaly tried :crazy2:

thanks

cal:)

Shrimp tacos in Mexico and the Hawaiian pork sliders. I have been craving these since our last trip in October 2013. Looking forward to them this October.

Definitely the slides in hawait and anything from thr farm fresh booth. I found thr wine pretty poor quality for the most part, so suggest sticking to beer

We always get the cheddar soup from Canada, the seafood pie from Ireland, the spaetzle and the beef from France. Always delicious.

Part of me is hoping that we'll see many of the favorites return, and another part is hoping there is going to be something special for the 2015 F&W due to it being the 20th anniversary.

So funny- my first thought was pork sliders from Hawaii too! We also like the Schinkennudeln from Germany, and the grilled cheese and honey from Greece. We usually do not get wine, but enjoy the beer flight in Germany.

Don't bother with the Dom Perinon...it's $30.00 a glass (or more, I don't remember) and I've had better wine from a $10.00 bottle from the grocery store.. just saying

What are the food prices and portions like? Is it a taste of food or a full entree?

Key lime wine from Farm Fresh (I liked it so much I've been buying it to drink at home)
The chocolate dessert in Ireland
One of the buns from China, but I can't remember which one. It was the cheaper of the 2 that I really liked.
DH loved the pork slider from Hawaii
I'm glad I tried the kimchi dog from Korea

The shrimp taco from Mexico is one of my favorite foods in general. I love that stupid taco. Hoping they have it again this year. The pierogi is another festival favorite that shows up most years.

Wow thank you guy's, my mouth was watering as I read them. So its a definite on the pork slider then, and I like the sound of the lamb, beef, soup and the tacos and any desert on offer, I'm going to put on so much weight :rolleyes1 I've never tried lobster, are there any lobster dishes worth trying ?

I'm glad I tried the kimchi dog from Korea
OMG its not really dog is it ? don't think I would be brave enough to eat that if it is.:crazy2:

I can take or leave wine so I think I'll leave it and share a few beers and larger's with DH :drinking:

thanks cal :)

We fell in love with the conch salad in Puerto Rico. It was amazing, especially if you like ceviche! The key lime wine was great. I really wish we were going back this year! The prices are not too bad, unless you try something from every country lol then it gets a little steep.

Yes was planning on at least one thing per booth, we were given a $200 gift card when we booked the holiday so was planning on using that and a few snack credits

The seafood pie in Ireland, with a Guinness, savored in the R&C garden area.
