Food and Wine Festival Suggestions

DH and I will be in WDW from October 6th to the 10th. Staying off property. We are both huge foodies and we love wine tastings as well. My husband brews beer so he's really into beer tasting and making obviously. I also LOVE artisan cheese and would enjoy learning about how to make cheese or go to a cheese tasting. This will be our first time at the food and Wine Festival and we are SO EXCITED
Obviously we can't afford to do al the different events and I was wondering what my fellow DISers have enjoyed. Please let me know what you did, what it was like and how much it cost. Obviously we would love you to include the free stuff you enjoyed too
