I haven't taken a look yet. What are you planning on sampling?

Greece. I lived in Greece for a year and loved their food :cloud9:
I can't wait to see if it's really as good as when I was there!

I have started to make a list of what foods I want to taste at what countries kiosks during my November Vacation, but list is not complete yet, all I can say is good thing I planned 2 days for F & W

Argentina-nothing interests me
Australia-grilled lamb chop with roasted Potatoe salad and Lamingto(sponge cake with choc sauce)
Belgium-Baked waffles with berry compote and whipped cream
Brazil-nothing interests me
Canada-Chedder Cheese soup and Nanaimo Bar
China- Pork Pot Stickers and BBQ Chicken sticks
Ireland-kerrygold cheese selection
Morocco- Beef in a pita pocket and Baklava

Looking forward to the lamp chop and the cheddar cheese soup :)

The lobster pie at Ireland! I missed this one last year and heard that it was delicious from my son and DIL. :goodvibes

We plan on tasting everything. It is just hubby and myself and we usually buy one of each of the items at each booth and share. That way we get a taste of everything. We usually spend at least 3 days at the Food & Wine fest - doing one third of the countries per day (we just spend a couple of hours in the park). On our fourth day (if we stay longer), we go get our favorites.
That is our lunch/supper or as we call it lupper. Later in the evening, if we are still hungry, we may share a sandwich at the resort.

We had one of those last year and had to go back and get another. The Hops place has our other favorites: crab cake, lobster roll, and pecan bread pudding, and I'm looking forward to trying the mussels at Belgium.

I also want to try some things from La Cava del Tequila, as we've never been in there. It seems like there was a shrimp dish from Singapore that sounded good as well.

Happy tasting, all.

:)

I must of had 4-5 crab cakes at Hops last year and a Sam Adams to go with, I wonder if you can get the bracelet this year to use like a devit card, where do you get them.
28 days and counting

Off the top of my head - salmon from Canada (and maybe the cheese soup if the weather isn't too hot), pot stickers from China, lamb chop from Australia, and creme brulee from France. I'll be there for a week in October, and I'll be at Epcot every day. I love to "graze" during the Food & Wine Festival!

The dessert in Ireland as well as the Fishermans pie.
Grilled Lamb Chop and Seared Barramundi in Australia.
In Spain the Serrano Ham & Chorizo plate as well as the Seared Albacore Tuna with Romesco Sauce.
South Korea - Barbecue Short Rib
Germany - Nürnberger Sausage in a Pretzel Roll - Not bad - but the brat at the CS is a better value I think.
France - Braised Short Ribs in Cabernet with Mashed Potatoes - was my favorite dish last year
France - Escargots Persillade en Brioche - these are hit or miss - I had them several times and the quality varies a lot
Charcuterie & Cheese - Applewood Smoked Beef, Duck; and Ham - Sounds good

I do wish there were more changes from what they had last year.
Seems like a lot of the same stuff.
I still undecided on if I will even go this year.

Things to avoid IMO:
Hopefully they will fix the problems in Poland, it was really bad last year.
I make better Pierogies frozen out of a box.
Shrimp Ceviche in Chile - Go to la Cava for the Acapulco Shrimp Cocktail – 4 for like $10
South Africa - Seared Beef Tenderloin - Beef was awful last year
New Zealand - Lamb Slider - Was very disappointing. overdone and dry
Japan - Tuna Sensation - The Tuna Roll was better IMO

I am pretty sure they will have the gift card bracelet again. You can buy it at any of the festival shops, and probably at guest services in the park, too.

You can pick up a Food & Wine themed mini Disney Gift Card — a fast, easy and secure way to carry your money on your wrist, and simply the best way to experience the Festival. Just load or reload the card with any amount you desire from $5 to $1,500, swipe — and you're spared the trouble of getting out your credit card or cash any time you want to pay for food, merchandise and more. Get it throughout Epcot at ticket booths, Guest Relations, the Festival Welcome Center and a variety of locations in the theme park where food and merchandise are sold.

Thanks I want to give the bracelet a try this year, it seems much better then using cash. I'll be using the Snack credits for the food and the bracelet for the drinks.

WOW. TY all for the great list and the idea for the debit bracelet!! Am looking forward to our trip Nov 4th!!:lovestruc

I can't wait till it gets started, you guys and us will be going a little later during the Wine Fest so I know I will be looking for some updates on what food treats are the best.

You do know you can keep the bracelets from year to year and even load them at your local Disney store (it may take the manager to intervene but it can be done). I've already got $300 loaded on the card and plan on putting another $300 on it when we get there. I use it to not only buy food but also to buy merchandise throughout my trip.

I'm looking forward to:

Canada - cheese selection, lobster & scallop fisherman's pie & the chocolate lava cake with bailey ganache (friends always knew where to find me last year)
Japan - sushi
Greece - almost anything!
France - Brulee
South Korea - the lettuce wrap & the shortrib
US - Bison chili & the Heirloom tomatoes

Going to miss the dragonberry colada this year at Puerto Rico. But there are a couple new alcoholic drinks we're looking forward to trying.

Can't wait!

Cyn

I feel a little idiotic asking this but I really do not know... we've never been there during IFW -- how do you know what you want to sample ahead of time? Do they list the foods they will have "for sample" there? IF so can someone point me to where I can find this list? It will be our first trip during this time of year and we're really excited !!
