My point is that "a CM that plays the role of one of the 'princes' at WDW" is probably not in a decision-making position and is likely hearing about this from someone else. And who knows who THAT person is. Without knowing the source, it's hard to gauge the validity.

If it is truly happening on the 3rd, odds are he got the information from his own work schedule. I seem to recall there being about a 2 week lead time on Disney CM schedules, which is why rumors of major discounts start buzzing about that far in advance (word gets out about CRO overtime). So if the change is going into effect in just over a week this is when we'd start hearing the chatter from CMs.

While I will agree that there is some level of expected confidentiality, you and I both know all too well that leaks happen everywhere.

To be completly honest... he was why I wanted to go to the Tangled meet and greet....

Does Disney not realize the older girls (teenagers and up) enjoy meeting such characters like the Princes and Captain Jack Sparrow? In the new Fantasyland expansion they should have a prince meet and greet!

It won't be pretty when my 7 year old hears about this. Thanks Disney, for taking away yet another thing that your guests enjoyed. That was a recurring comment from her on our last trip "they just keep taking all the fun stuff away!"

It's blatantly obvious Disney World does not care about show quality these days. It's all about getting people in and out and into stores.

Our 3 year old DD's M&G with him was magical. After the group finished dancing around the table Flynn held her hand and walked her up the steps to Rapunzel. She told Flynn that his name was Eugene and acted like he was shocked that she knew his secret. What a truly amazing M&G. Don't know if she'll even want to do it again w/o him.

Sorry....it's all our fault. It never fails...whenever we go to Disney it always seems to be around the time they are going to do some major change. Last time it was the unbundling of the tickets AND they raised the age of the kids meal the week before we went.

We had JUST decided since we are showing up a day early that would be a great day to do the Tangled meet & greet...DD wanted to see Flynn. I hadn't read this until now. She's not going to be happy....I'm not even sure she is going to want to do the M&G now. Probably because she likes all characters but it won't be the same. *sigh*

Where are you looking? Aladdin is easily found with Jasmine by the Magic Carpets at MK.

And also at Morocco at Epcot.

Getting back on-topic, I very strongly urge everyone to send tons of letters and emails to WDW, asking them to keep both Flynn and Naveen in the parks. I just sent one myself earlier today.

They must know how much they need to keep male face characters abundant in the parks.

Sad news today… As I was working in Fairytale Garden today, home of the meet and greet for Rapunzel and Flynn from Tangled, we were officially informed that Flynn Rider will no longer be doing meet and greets at Walt Disney World.

Thanks Disney! We arrive on July 9th for my DD7's 8th birthday celebration so that she could meet Rapunzel AND Flynn since the line was 2 hours long over our spring break trip. We have the BBB planned and bought the Rapunzel dress/accessories so that she could have her picture taken with them. That is all she has talked about since our March trip. So much for my big birthday surprise.

Per an update from WDWmagic:

Rapunzel will now have back to backs. This will be interesting to see how it goes, being that the location is OUTSIDE. The front of the line will now end down the path. Those guests won't be able to see inside the garden while the other guests are meeting Rapunzel.

Admittedly, this sounds great for those who were only interested in meeting Rapunzel!
