Flynn Rider leaving Tangled M&G 07/03 ???

We never made the Tangled M&G on our last trip, but we had already decided to brave the line next time. I have two boys...little guy absolutely adores Rapunzel, but big guy is all about Flynn. I don't know if he would want to stand in line if it wasn't for him.

Also, Tiana and Naveen are our FAVORITE characters to meet. Their interactions with our kids have always been among the very best. I would be so disappointed if they did away with Naveen. Both kids just loved talking to him.

I'm glad we were able to meet Flynn Rider and Prince Naveen during our trip earlier this month. However, after the fact, I wish that my DD took pictures with Rapunzel and Tiana without their male partners too. All the pictures I took, as well as the photopass ones, have the three of them in it. Some of the Princess and the Frog borders on the photopass site, one specifically, doesn't really match with Prince Naveen in it. Unfortunately, right now, there are no Rapunzel borders, but it was hard to match up something "girly" (ie. princess or pink borders) with Flynn Rider in the picture.

I'm writing an e-mail right now to try and "save" them - not sure if it will do any good but we'll be very sad if Flynn and Naveen disappear! We like meeting Flynn but I'll tell you Naveen (and Tiana) are always the highlight of character meet/ greets - he is such a card. Once Naveen told dd a story about how he hadn't been at the meet/ greet the previous day because he was trying to free the frogs at AK (now we sing "who let the frogs out" periodically - instead of "who let the dogs out). It just cracked us up!

I'd love it if they added more meet/greets for those couples - it would work out really well to put them over in Epcot too IMO

Disney wanted to appeal to boys....so WHY would they remove the male character that the boys would actually be interested in seeing? And also continue to cast for Flynn.....doesn't make sense.

If true, I hope that as a result we may now see both Rapunzel and Flynn elsewhere on property. EPCOT perhaps?

They really do need to spread them around more! I don't see why they would change the current set up at MK for now anyway....Belle will return with her story thing when the FL expansion opens, so I wonder why they would make any changes to that area in the meantime.

We did notice in Epcot this trip that there were character changes from what we have seen in previous trips. For instance Belle and Beast rotated...they were never together (when we were there anyway). On previous trips they were paired up.

That is so disappointing. The princes really seem to be blown off and undervalued by Disney. Disney doesn't seem to understand that little girls love the Princes too. We had hoped that was finally going to change somewhat since it seemed like Naveen was being kept around and Flynn was so popular. DD always wants to know why most of the princes don't have regular meet and greets. Don't even get me started on our quest for finding Prince dolls to match the Disness princess barbie type dolls when she was first into those (at least the Disney store seems to have those more regularly now). While DD likes meeting Tiana and Rapunzel...she LOVES Naveen and Flynn. Those WDW boys are so good at hamming it up with the little girls. In fact, at the Tangled meet and greet, she hardly paid any attention to Rapunzel once Flynn started talking to her. Both times we have met Naveen he has been hilarious and adorable. I can recall an instance on the last trip where she gave Tiana the hand when she started to get in the picture because she wanted her picture with just Naveen. (To be fair though, her first time through the line she only wanted Tiana).

We've seen Jasmine out without Aladdin in Adventureland and Epcot more than once. If the movie wasn't in the guy's name, he'd probably get dumped by Disney too. If they dump him, DD(5) would probably be at guest services demanding to speak to the CEO (yes- she is that type of kid). She's been crazy about Aladdin since she was 2.

These guys are pretty accurate, I am afraid this is more than rumor/speculation. Per one of the posters, this has been confirmed with a CM that plays the role of one of the 'princes' at WDW. Said prince is encouraging everyone to write in to keep Flynn and Naveen.

If said prince is really a CM that plays the role of a prince, then he's certainly not high enough on the food chain to be sitting in the meetings where these discussions happen. By the time this particular rumor made it to this particular prince, the PTB could have changed their minds a dozen times.

I agree they need to add MORE princes not take them away. My daughter doesn't understand why she can't ever meet Prince Charming or The Prince (Snow White). She was THRILLED that we got to meet Beast and Eric (even with the horrid Donald Trumplike wig) this trip!

I was sad to miss Eric on our trip last December. These characters seem to come and go, and we keep hitting it when he's gone.

If they go, maybe Flynn and Naveen will still be out during MNSSHP and MVMCP like last year?

They really seem to like finding ways for lines to eat people up in the parks, to spread the crowds around. Both of these meet & greets have been so popular I'm really surprised they'd risk having them occupy so many guests. Those folks are just going to show up in other lines now.

Where are you looking? Aladdin is easily found with Jasmine by the Magic Carpets at MK.

We saw Aladdin with Jasmine in Morocco at Epcot in October 2010 and in April 2011.

We were just at the Rapunzel meet and greet on 6/14. Sad to say but...no Flynn when we went. The CMs who do the dance with the kids prior to Rapunzel coming out said Flynn wouldn't be there because he was chasing some bandits who stole Rapunzel's crown. VERY disappointing! We were there with family who had done the meet and greet in November and they said it had some unfavorable changes. When they went Rapunzel and Flynn came out early and danced and interacted with the children. Now the CMs do the 2 minute dance with the kids and then Rapunzel comes out and a standard meet and greet line is formed. We were a little diappointed but only because we were expecting what our family had experienced before. So just beware...Flynn might not be there and the interaction with Rapunzel might be minimal as well. However, I can't complain too much...afterall, we were at Disney

Also, I have started a thread to gather stories to send to WDW customer relations to make them realize what we would be missing if they removed these characters. Will it help? Who knows, but it's worth a shot!

Wow, I am glad we met them June 8. Flynn was the BEST! DD12 was especially looking forward to meeting him and he went straight for her while Rapunzel went to DD9...Flynn and DD12 had quite a bit of fun with her autograph book and he was like straight out of the movie. He made it worth the hour wait.
