Should I cancel & try to re-schedule my vaca for later in the year? Or, do you think that Frances will have blown by?

This stinks! I can't believe this mess!

It may have blown by but you may be left with a hotel without power or other things. I don't know if you are staying onsite or off.

I would reschedule.

I agree with safetymom, reschedule!

We have changed our flight to next weekend. USAirways said that you must reschedule for flight travel within seven days. I know other airlines are offering better things so.... If you can make it in the future... thats what I would do.

DD's best friend was to fly in today from TPA. Her Mom called United and they reccomended she reschedule for another time. It wasn't getting out of Tampa today, but the return flight on Monday. The guy at United said he couldn't guarentee that she could fly back even on Monday. Just speculation on his part I suppose, but if it gets as bad as they think, why take any chances!

I would not worry about it, and would just go. The storm will be long gone by the 7th. It arrives in central Florida Saturday, right?

We moved our flight up, (free of charge from Spirit) and arrived Aug 13 early int he morning, so we went thru Charley. (We guessed the airport might close later in the day, for our original flight, and it did) The resorts have their own power. We did not loose power, and parks reopened the day after just fine. And that was a direct hit on Orlando.

Just answering honestly, what I would do......... (We did not fly into Charley knowing it would hit Orlando, I am not that crazy, LOL)

The storm has slowed down. It will still be causing flight delays on Monday and Tuesday.

Thanks everyone for all the input.

Safetymom, I took your advice and re-scheduled my trip for the 1st week in October. Better safe than sorry.

While on the phone with Disney reservations, I wished the rep 'good luck' with the upcoming storm and she started crying :( .

I hope everyone down in FL remains safe!
