Wondering if I should book Song now or wait for Southwest booking window for March. Any past fare info to share? Thanks!

The base fare is $305 RT! Expensive, but I don't want to change planes......

I would wait for SWA. Right now it is 171.50 rt/ns. (all taxes)

I have yet to see it more than 99. each way. not including taxes.

Thanks for the info! Guess I'll wait-biting my nails all the while-I like to plan far in advance and be done with it. Oh well, saving $400 plus dollars is worth it. :)

LOL, I feel your pain!!!! Another alternative is to check fares to Tampa, easy ride to WDW. No tolls either.

Not sure if is this will be the same for you but last year we noticed that SWA blocked out the whole state of Florida for most of the month of March and early April. We had wanted to fly my SIL, MIL & FIL out of Omaha to Orlando and when the fares opened up for our dates they would not let us go to Florida for the good rate. Ended up paying over $400 per ticket on Delta cause we waited for the good SWA tickets and couldn't get them.
Could just be the area we live in but you might want to check with SWA.

Yikes!!! Padre Disney- you are scaring me! Gail- did you fly in March to Florida for the good rate? Maybe I will call and see what they say. I'm a nervous wreck!!!

We are already having the same thing happen again this year as last year. My daughter who will be a senior is planning a spring break 2004 cruise out of port canaveral with about 11 other people. I have been calling all the airlines group numbers to try and find good fares for the girls. Let me tell ya it isn't looking very good. I already had 2 other mothers tell me to wait and check air tran and SWA. The longer we wait the higher the fares are going. American as been the best so far.
Good Luck

Just when I finally decided to just hold back and wait til this winter for SW to open up for late April, I read the post by Padre Disney about not being able to get a decent fare on SW after waiting.Someone please tell me this is not so..... We are going April 25 and it is the beginning of Regular season at Disney and most all the Spring Breaks are over. We would have usually bought our plane tickets but Song is so high, AA is so unreliable with their flight times so we just convinced ourselves that SW is worth waiting for. We would fly out of PVD. GAIL HAYDEN, what do you think about this....you seem very well versed in the way SW operates. We would rather spend a bit more ( $250 and hoping for less) and have direct flights into MCO at decent times.

Go to SW an price the flight. Look at the advance purchase and full fare prices. That should be as high as you have to pay and hopefully you can get a discount off of that.

(I tried to do this for you, but the system is down. Maybe they are loading new discouts?)

When you book with SWA and your fare goes down, they will refund you the difference. You can request a refund to your credit card - not just a SWA credit. Last November I booked early and thought I had a great fare. Closer to my trip date, my fare went to $103 RT from Norfolk to Orlando - non-stop. I love SWA. They are very customer friendly and go out of their way to accommodate their customers.

The non stop flights is why we had waited to purchase tickets for my MIL & FIL but no luck. You can still get tickets to Orlando during Spring break time. Just not at the discounts that most of us hope for. It might just be the area we are in. In the mid west around March we are willing to pay anything to get out of the cold. The airlines know that and that is why we paid over $400 each ticket for our Spring break 2003 cruise. It was worth every penny. Going again Spring break 2004 and driving.

Please keep tryiing SWA. We just booked 4 tickets with them for our 10/2 cruise out of Kansas City at a great price. NON STOP

Nope flew in Feb. But, I do watch the fares and they seemed, last year, to be right in line with the rest of the times. They don't really block anything, they may or may not offer the fares.

I just did a Ben Franklin list of all our airfare options for April.....I am driving myself crazy!!!!!!!!!LOL!!
