Hello Disney Fans,

Travel dates are Sat Nov 26 or Sun Nov 27 from Buffalo to MCO, return Sat Dec 3 or Sun Dec 4th MCO to Buffalo.

We have flown out of Buffalo a few times and were wondering when the best time to book might be? Our previous trips in 2007 and 2009 the prices were so low the first time we looked (about 6 months out) we booked right away. Now with prices higher than before we are playing a bit of the waiting game.
Currently prices hovering around $104-124 one way and narrowing it down to us Airtran, Southwest or JetBlue.

We have flown with all 3 before so hoping to get something $200 RT if possible.

Any feedback and experience on when to book and any other information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I am still trying to book for October/November - got $124 one way on a Sunday, now $202 (SWA) - had to book Airtran for my daughter and BF on a Monday since it was only $99, now higher. Our return on a Friday (Nov. 4) is over $200 each one way on SWA, so am watching like a hawk. I figure $124 on SWA is the same as $99 on Airtran because of luggage fees, and SWA lets you switch flights or get a credit for cheaper posted flights with no charges, so I'll be watching SWA - I will grab any $124 flights I can, because it rarely goes to $99 - if it does, even better, but I will be much happier with $124 one way than $202 one way. My advice is, if you see a decent flight ($124 or close these days), especially for the holiday season, grab it!

I started looking for flights the beginning of March for our Sept.24/11 trip. Prices were around $1400 for the 5 of us. Prices started to climb, range $1600- $3500. I was looking at Air Tran, Southwest & Jet Blue. Air Tran had the lowest prices but flight time was not what we liked,Flight leaving on the Friday was at around 6pm. Southwest came in second for pricing then Jet Blue. I finally purchased or flights from Jet Blue on May 16 prices dropped to $1422 for the 5 of us, best price to date. Prices have since gone back up to just over $2000. We fly out on Sat. late morning, originally our return flight was for Sat but changed to Sun because air prices were way cheaper. So we get to stay an additional day at WDW. I checked daily on prices, once in the morning then again in the afternoon. Tickets were purchased in the morning. Our flights are direct.
Happy Hunting

You might want to consider DirectAir out of Niagara Falls New York.
they fly non stop on your dates for $184 + tax ,Return. (they fly into Lakeland airport.....45 mins west of Orlando)

Unfortunately, it is pretty hard to time good airfares this year. We are flying JB out of Buffalo in Sept. We have flown JB or SW every year. We have paid $150 -230 in the past (round trip each) for direct flights. I booked JB as soon as Sept was released. We paid $289 each. Advice on these boards at that time was "don't buy now, wait til 90 days or so before for cheapest prices".

I'm glad I didn't wait. We're at 85 days. The flight to Orlando is now $405! :scared1: One way! The direct flight we're booked on for home is no longer showing up for booking. Jetblue actually changed both of their direct flights to smaller planes about 6 -8 weeks ago. So the return flight is now "sold out". Current price for JB in my dates with 1 stop & plane change is $320. Current SW price for direct flights my dates is $380 or more. Both of these are for round trip.

I had fare watched even after we booked. I saw our flights go down about $10 for a few days about 2 months ago. Other than that, prices haven't moved.

I think the best anyone can do this year is watch for a price you can live with for times & flights you want. Expect to pay at least 20 -30 % more than you have before. Good luck & have a great vacation! :goodvibes
