Flying from Detroit

We're flying out of Detroit to Orlando next month and was really wondering how long the flight really is!? I would love to hear from someone that has flown out of Detroit before!

If you are flying a non-stop, look for about 2.5 hours from gate to gate from DTW to MCO. This will, however, depend on weather and air traffic on the day you fly. It could be longer or shorter!

Hi, we always fly out of DTW and it takes approx. 2 and 1/2 hours. We generally use NW. We are planning on using them this Nov. - I'm really excited- we're going to make it a special treat and stay at the GF!!

It took us 2 1/2 in July. This included waiting to take off on the run way. We actually got there early! This was with Spirit.

Gate to Gate flight time is usually between 2hrs 15min and 2hrs 30min. Depending on departure time, you might be looking at some delays as far as taxiing and having to wait in line for the runway. One of the worst flights from DTW-MCO I've been on, was during the winter, during the morning. There were heavy snows, and we were behind 9 aircraft for take off. Gate to Gate time for that flight was just over 3 hrs...
