flying fish/chef's counter

i posted this about 3 monthes ago and did not get many if any responses. any comments on this? i know you can not reserve it, but must ask upon check-in. any info would be appreciated. thanks!

I don't really know but my advice would be to make the earliest possible PS like when they open, and get there like 30 mins. early and request what you want.

I'd sure like info on this also. We'll be at WDW the first week of June and LOVE Chef's Table / Counter experience.

my sister & I did this about 4 yrs ago; we did not request it, it was offered. I personally did not care for it, there really wasn't any interaction between us and the chefs and I believe there was a plexiglass wall in between. It was also very hot. I have noticed since, however, that there are other seats that are not directly in front of the grill, so that may be better.
Having said this, we had also eaten at the Chef's Table at V&A's the night before, so that may be why I wasn't as taken with it...

I had a PS for a table at FF last August and was told the wait would be at least 40 minutes or we could sit at the counter. We chose the counter. It's nice because you get little samples, personal service, etc. I would definitely do it again, especially if I had to wait for a table.

This is our favorite restaurant and our favorite spot in the restaurant at WDW!!!! We just ate there a couple of weeks ago! We always have such a fantastic meal there. We are going in July with friends and hope we can sit at the counter then too!!!

Each time I have been in there the counter has been empty.

We ask to sit at the counter so we can watch the cooking process, very impressive to me! We have sat there the last 3 or 4 times but have never been offered any samples that I hear about.
