Flying Business/First Class - do you tell people?

A) "upper class flights from gatwick both ways (chris would absolutely not change down)"

B) "upper class flights from gatwick both ways."

well its obviously me that posted that, and I wasnt braggin and chris wouldnt change down as he wanted it to be an extra special holiday after all the rubbish of this year, what with my ski cancer my sisters skin cancer, canceleld booking and family problems it will be nice for us to have a blow out.

Plus for the upgrade we have used alot of airmiles towards it so it isnt all cash,

plus its the first time EVER that we have been proper upper class and will probably be the last time too

Im sorry I every posted

Good point, yes I tell people if they ask where we are going. Which is a similar point, although I do not tell unless I am asked. As you said, this is more of a 'general life' question if you see what I mean, the upper/economy question was one of a 100 similar things, like the ferarri example you gave.
Do you tell people you live in a 500k house (no I dont by the way).

You sort of see what I mean...

If to post "do you tell people that you take an so many trips to Disney?" is acceptable, then it is no different than posting "Flying Business/First Class - do you tell people?".

It is all preception regarding boasting - there are millions of people in this country who would think you a rich, boasting snob if you even mentioned that you went to Disney once...

This is one of the reasons why forums like this exist: you can swap information, experiences and opinions with other people interested in the same things. On the DIS boards, that is Disney, hotels and travel to get there (including premium travel for those interested).

I was just interested (in this thread) to find out what people say - outside of this discussion forum - wbout their premium travel. This thread was not a vehicle for me to boast about myself and my round the world cruise with George Clooney (ooops, sorry, fantasy took over for a minute... :) )

Mushmadness,

Dont be sorry for anything there is no need. You have a good holiday and you deserve it.

Because this is a virtual community, maybe we feel we can say things here that we may not feel comfortable articulating in our everyday lives, be it boasting or having a pop at others. I can absolutely see why Boo may have wanted to solicit the thoughts of other UC travellers in this safe and protective environment.

It's also true that the written word is often interpreted in a way other than that intended. For that reason I can understand why Steve may have perceived this post as he did. I do agree that this isn't the same as asking about the merits of UC travel, so this question is definitely more of a 'Community Board' topic than a 'Trip Planning' one, but that doesn't make it unworthy of discussion.

I wouldn't have a problem telling anyone (except my husband) :teeth:

You have absolutely no need to apologise, I was simply illustrating how easy it was to give someone the wrong idea (in the context of this thread). Clearly I took what you posted the wrong way, but its easy to see why.

true thinking before i speak or type has never been something ive done lol

its a reward holiday for us honestly (though paying for its rough lol) the year isnt going well, and can only improve, having things like this to look forward to keeps me going
