We´re flying with AA from LHR to LAX. Can anyone tell me anything about flying AA cross-Atlantic. What is the in-flight entertainment like? Do they offer anything for kids (I´m flying with 4 kids from 1-11)?
Are ther plugs for PC´s?
Meals?
Just tell me anything!

I flew AA from Boston to Paris in October. I thought it was going to be unbearably uncomfortable, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. I was pretty jealous of the passengers in First Class, though. That's the way to fly.

Anyway, they played two movies, which I would have let my kids watch (they are 5 and 6). The rest of the in-flight entertainment was commercials for CBS shows. They seemed to be feeding us or getting us drinks the entire time. We had two meals and a snack in 7 hours.

I didn't notice anything special for kids. There were two small kids in the seat in front of me (which was the one with the extra leg room). They couldn't really see the screen for the movie, so I wouldn't recommend that row. These kids were pretty uspet for most of the flight. The attendants tried to entertain them, but I don't think they would have done that if the kids hadn't been so upset.

I did not see plug ins for PC's, but there were head phone plugs that tuned into different music stations or to the movies.

I have a friend who travels back and forth to Iceland several times a year. I think they might be over there right now. I can ask her about her trip if you'd like.

From LHR to LAX you should be flying on a 777. These are great planes because each seat has its own entertainment where you can choose from several different movies or TV shows. There is also a channel with kids' shows.

As far as meals go - you should get at least 2 meals. There will also be drinks and maybe little snacks in between. AA trans-Atlantic flights are very good - even in coach class!

Sounds great! Thanks for the info!!!
