my partner just flew out and back this past weekend with his family. Said its like a ghost town. THey are very uptight about waht you have in your carry on. (yes the toe nail clipper stories are true they, they are taking them away- no problems with any carry on electronics- but you'll need to turn much on to show them it really works).
I have a friend who is a restaurant manager in one of the terminals and he says they are federal police (customs, marshals, etc.) all over the place- they are to start backround checks soon- and all knives have been removed (in other airports he has heard rumnors that they removed decorations like ice skates from stores that could be used as weapons)
To make you life easiest- i'd get yourself a new driver's liscense (sp?). I know that when my wife and I traveled on our honeymoon- 6 years ago- they made a fuss about it at that time and required a copy of the marriage liscense (sp? again). I would imagine at a minimum you'de need that now- maybe even something more. I'd call the airline to check, but if you have time i'd definately get a new one- who knows what they know at the counter.
E-tickets are fine, but you either need the offiiall receipt or you must check in for boarding passes to get past security.
Hope that helps.
