We did and let me tell you is freezing out right now...

really? I haven't been out in a bit. Since the power came back on I am enjoying the AC. It was kind of sticky and humid and funky in here when it went off. My hair was so frizzy

The minute I was walking to the train station, the heavens opened up.
It lasted 5 minutes. If I left the office 2 minutes earlier I woul have missed it.

We had the very heavy rain yesterday. It had to be loud to wake my DD up.

Ours did something similar too, but it lasted longer. One minute bright and okay, the next, whoa!

After getting the last electric bill for May & June, I'm afraid to us the A/C.

I understand, but with two people with asthma it's not so much an option. Sometimes I really hate it but I also hate not being able to breathe every time someone weedwhacks or mows The way our place is set up is weird (stupid). We live in a townhouse and there are two slots for AC, one in the LR and one in the kids' BR. It's really inefficient and if we turn it off we can never get it cool again. Not like, say, my mom's house where they are in almost every room in the window so she can turn it off during the day when no one's home or when it's not too bad out and then just turn it on for bedtime or the really nasty days. We'd never get the house to cool down if we did that. WE can't put them in the windows because we have those casement windows. Whoever designed this place was on drugs, the set up is really dumb in some places

I definately dont like high electric bills but no way in hell am I going without down here.

And it was on clearence, so it was a must.

Here too. I can't imagine being without it. Our electric bill really isn't all that bad either. I think the worst one was only 75.00-80.00.

Here too. I can't imagine being without it. Our electric bill really isn't all that bad either. I think the worst one was only 75.00-80.00.

The villa we're renting is only 1500 square ft. I do hope that the electric bill doesn't increase too much when we move, whenever that is.

Some kids burnt their hands/fingers. Not like that's been happening for years.

Yhey use to have big light bulbs in them that would easily burn the hand.
