I know there are the outdoor kitchens, our plan is to kinda snack around the world. We will have a couple of alcoholic drinks, but not one at each stop.

So 2 questions: How much would you budget / have you spent doing this (trying to decide if the DDP is worth it if we follow this plan) and should we plan on an actual meal as well?

It really depends on how much you eat at the different booths and on whether or not you split what you order so your fam can each try a bite. The cost is usually from $3.50 to $6.00 for food per plate, and $7/8 for a mixed drink, less for a smaller beer. If your kids like to try different foods, you can usually fill up on the booths. However, we always like at least one sit down meal for every 2 days we are at the festival, so if we snack around the world one day, the next epcot day we like to have a sit down to rest and relax.

As for the DDP, I'm not one to answer that.

Have you been to Food and Wine before?

If so think of it as a mini one with about a 1/4 of the booths. The booths will have the same prices so as low as $3.00 all the way up to $9.00 depending on the food item. If you are planning on being there a full day then you can certainly make a decent meal out of the food booths. Usually they release the menus early and http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/ will usually have a listing of what will be at the festival before it opens (no prices though) so you could look at that and then decide if there is enough of things you would want to eat that would sustain you or if you would feel the need to add a full meal.

When we were there last year between adult beverages and food I would say maybe $30-50 per person. But we usually eat and drink more than the average people when we go to the festivals (before anyone gets upset NO we don't get rowdy). It will all just depend on how hungry you are and the pace you plan to have.

As for DDP if I remember correctly it works like F&W where many of the offerings count as a snack credit

F & W has a small gift card on a wrist band that you purchase for a specific amount. It is so easy to use that at the booths to purchase items. Is there something similar for F & G?

They did last year; it was the same set up as F&W.
