Florida Sun + 1 Back To The Magic Day 4

Cast of Characters:

Sue - 44 - (Thinks she's 24) Chief Planner, Worrier, and Yo Yo Dieter.

Vicki - 16 - (Thinks she's 26) - Emo,Thrill Ride Seeker and Mums Best Friend.

Well after the late night last night and the fine wine and Baileys, I thought we would be quite late getting up but 6am I was awake, showered and dressed ready for the day ahead. We had an ADR with Kaylee, Alan and Joseph this morning at Donalds at Animal Kingdom. They were either going to meet us at 8 at Animal Kingdom or at 7 at the bus stop at the Boardwalk, and as we were ready the Boardwalk it was.

We strolled over to the Boardwalk and there they were waiting on the bus stop, I told them only the Robbins family could have us out of bed this early After hugs and coos (to the baby) all around the bus comes and off to Animal Kingdom we go. We arrive early so that Kaylee and Alan can get their annual passes and we then give our name on the gate and we are let in.

If I remember correctly I think Alan goes off to get fastpasses for us all for Expedition Everest and Kaylee and I make our way to Donalds.

We have had breakfast here before and love it, we are welcomed in by a great cast member, can not for the life of me remember his name, dont know if you can Kaylee??, and once Alan has joined us, he asks us all would we like juice which we do except Vicki who has milk, he then tells us where to go for the buffet food and off we trot with Kaylee and Alan taking turns to stay with Joseph who looked the cutiest ever in his little Donald outfit.

After a hearty breakfast of sausage, eggs, bacon, fruit, Krispy Kreams, and just about anything you can mention, the characters start to come around. There was Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Mickey, that I can remember, Im sure there was another one though.

We had a fab time and the cast member serving us was great.

Mini Donald Meets Big Donald

After breakfast we make our way over to Expedition Everest, now looking at it up close im wondering if eating such a hearty breakfast just before really is a good thing, so Alan and Kaylee go on first and I make them promise they have to tell me the truth about what it is like, if they feel at all sick, ill, faint, dizzy, well you get the picture, I have decided that Vicki can try it either with one of them or alone Vicki and I get a little place in the shade to look after Joseph while they go. In no time at all they are back, in fact they are stood behind us as im frantically waving to someone I thought looked like them on the ride(must get new glasses), but im sure the people on the ride liked me waving to them. Well they said they loved it, after 10 mins of me grilling them to make sure they were not fibbing, I finally conceeded and thought right lets give it a go.

We walked straight on and straight onto the last 2 seats at the back at the carriage, I look really scared at the cast member and he tells me not to worry as the front and back two seats are the best, yeah right!!!!! Off we go up the hill, me waving like only a mad british woman would do to Kaylee and Alan on the floor, my stomach was in knotts and turning violently, I was so scared. Then it got to the point where you get to where the track is broken and thought hey this is not so bad and even manage to hold my hands in the air.......then whoosh backwards we go, now let me say at this point I could not believe the force that this drives you back, so much so Im convinced that we have gone upside down and scream to Vicki are we back on the track yet, no idea what her reply was but I imagine rolling eyes played a part Then that big drop down, WOW! WOW! WOW! is all I can say, absolulty fantastic and we swear we will be back to ride it again. When we get back to Alan he has managed to catch us on his camera coming down the big drop and Im sure when he's had the chance to download it, he will post it here for you to see us.

From here we go over to Kali River Rapids and as Im not keen on getting wet today, Kaylee, Alan and Vicki go on whilst I have my darling boy in the pushchair. Next was the Safari and my goodness I dont know if they have changed this but it was really really bumpy, at one point I thought Kaylee and Joseph were being ejected from their seats. Plenty of animals out though and it was good to do this one again. We decide to call it a day from here as we have MNSSHP tonight and we all need to go home and get ready as we are going to leave at 4.00pm.

Back at the Dolphin we grab a quick bite to eat as we are still full from breakfast, and set about getting changed for MNSSHP.

All done up I get Vicki and I for a few photos, now Vicki is dressed as a Slayer and I really thinks she looks the part and Im supposed to be a Pretty Witch, however without the hat Vicki informs me I look more like Shirley Bassey in a Las Vages venue with all the feathers

Now we have to walk from the Dolphin to the Boardwalk to meet Kaylee, Alan and Joseph and can I just say here and now, what a blooming fool I felt, its ok when your at the park and loads of others are dressed but walking up the Boardwalk as a Slayer and Witch ( Or Shirley) seems a tad out of place. We have plenty of pointed fingers at us and loads of chukkles. Let me tell you they are bloody lucky I didnt burst into a chorus of Goldfinger

Oh My!!!!

Safe in the lobby of the Boardwalk at last we make our way to the elevators, get in and 2 guys get in behind us, Im thinking oh here we go there are sure to take the mick, when I look up Im sure I recognise them and the penny drops, its Kev and Matt, now if I had been thinking straight I would have kept my head down and introduced myself properly when I meet them a few nights later, No not me, Im almost jumping with glee that I know them and say Hi Matt and Kev, they are both looking at me as if Ive lost the plot then I tell them its Sue, Florida Sun off the boards. Ahhh the penny drops and not the way I had intended to meet them but it gave us all a good laugh.

Call for Kaylee, Alan and Joseph, and they are almost ready to go, Alan looked great as Indiana Jones and Kaylee looked very elegant as a Medieval Queen. Joseph had a skeleton costume to wear but Kaylee was going to change him at the park as it was too hot to do it right now.

We make our way to the park and have a wonder round, we stopped to have loads of photos taken on the photopass and picked up our wristbands and trick or treat bags. The park looked fantastic and we had a good look around, there were loads of people dressed up and the atmosphere was great. We went and had something to eat at Cosmic Rays, cant remember what right now, but I know I discovered the toppings bar here - great stuff, I dont recall seeing them before.Makes a small looking burger a whole lot bigger.

I did say to Kaylee at this time though that I didnt know why my hands were so black and thought I would pop to the bathroom to wash them, big mistake as it was here that I discovered that my feathers were dying my skin and as soon as some water hit the ones on my sleeves the dye starting running all down my hands and arms and would not come off, I looked like I was melting

Anyway we now go off to toontown to start trick or treating with our candybags, well im like a six year old, trick or treat!!!, trick or treat!!! Ive never seen so much candy, we are all filling our bags quite nicely and dont listen to any of the motley crew on here who tell you I ate most of mine whilst walking around, I had a couple thats all, well maybe a few more than a couple, well ok about half a bag, but hey im on holidays

Off then to watch the parade which I have to say this was fantastic, esp the gravediggers with their shovels scrapping them along the floor which in turn caused a mass of sparks, however this did scare the pants off of poor Joseph and he didnt like this bit. Here are a couple of photos of the parade, im afraid they are a bit dark as my camera is rubbish in the dark, however Vicki has some great ones, so I will get her to add some later.

Well by now I was flagging as was Vicki, I think we had been going on sheer adrenilin (sp) for the last 2 days and when Kaylee and Alan said they were going back to the Boardwalk but for us to stay if we wanted, I could have kissed them. We had seen Hallowishes the night before so didnt feel as though we were missing it, and if Im perfectly honest I like the normal wishes better.

We arrive back to the Dolphin and I can not wait to get these blooming feathers off after discarding my hat at the park. I undress and Vicki says Mum look at your neck, yes you've guesssed it, I had a lovely black tide mark from the feathers. I jumped into the shower and try as I did there was still a faint black mark around my neck and arms for days. People must have thought I was terribly Dirty

We had a fabulous day and it was great being out with the Robbins, the first day of many we hoped. I went to bed still humming Goldfinger, thanks Shirl

Definetely something to do with mothers and daughters Sue. I have a cracking picture of my mum and I on Splash Mountain. We were going to buy the piccie and both agreed before we went on the ride that we would put our arms up at the big drop. Needless to say I am the only one with my arms in the air

You're absolutely right about the kilimanjaro safaris - it was so bumpy, when we went over the bridge DH leant over and dropped his glasses in with the aligators - so if you see a gator wearing shades - tell him we want them back !!!!!!!!!!!!
