I was forwarded to this board from another to ask and possibly get answered this question.
We are Military, but hubby still holds a Florida DL. And since the Florida rate is better then the military,we were going to do that to purchase our tickets. BUT I dont hold a Fla.License anymore. Can we get away with me just showing my Military ID? And if asked say I Dont a DL. The info on DW website says a FLorida Based Military ID,well our IDs dont have residency on them??If we purchase them now online and bring them with us in May/June if they wont except my ID will they charge me regular park admission,or will they give me the Miltary rate at least at the gate?
TIA

You must have proof of residency for each adult purchasing the pass. I would be afraid that you could not use the Fla voucher at all. Then you would be forced to buy a second ticket.

Military Rate tickets (I believe) must be purchased from an authorized military vendor.

We have always received great rates by purchasing tickets, in advance, at the military commissary. Is there a military/civil service exchange store you can purchase from on the base/nearby?

Yes we can purchase them from ITT here on our base, but the Florida rate is better so trying to see if I can get it as well as hubby or if I should buy separte tickets and get his and the kids through Florida residency? How long are they good ?does anyone know from purchase date?
Thanks

During our last trip we lived in CT, but DH (military) had maintained his FL residency & still had a legal FL ID (no income tax in FL). When we arrived at WDW, he purchased FL Res Passes for himslef and the kids with his FL license & I bought a hopper at SOG since I had a CT ID. I don't think I would risk it for anyone in your family who has an out of state ID. When you arrive, take the monorail to Poly, walk over to SOG and buy a ticket for yourself. SOG is less expensive than buying tickets on base/post before you leave.

I'm sure someone will flame me for this...but before you do, consider that the federal govt. and all 50 states honor the right for an active duty military member to maintain residency in a state other than where they are stationed, so why shouldn't WDW?

Thanks Sk8ing mom. That was pretty much the answer I was looking for.
I will probably get mine here then at ITT before we leave. They are cheaper then SOG as are most places(SOG seems to be all around expensive). Every ITT has them different prices based on contracts.
Do you know how long they would be good if we purchased hubbys and the kids now before any more rate hikes?
TIA

The FL Resident Pass is a modified AP. It is good for a year, although it has some black out dates (most of the summer, around Christmas & Easter). Just make sure you aren't going during a black out time before your buy the pass.

I was wondering if its better to buy the florida resident pass or an annual pass ( we are building a home in florida) Does the annual pass also have blackout dates like the resident pass does? thanks.

Florida Residents get discounts on the "Annual Pass" that has no blackout dates and is good for an entire year.

They also can purchase a "Seasonal Pass" which has blackouts during the busiest & hottest times of the year. The blackouts total about 14 weeks. See WDW website for specific dates.

If you purchase a voucher at the base, I don't believe there is an expiration date to redeem. If you get a Fla resident 3-Day tickets expire 6 months after first use.

Could you possibly point me in the right direction to find the blackout dates? I tried to search it and came up with nothing on blackout.
Thanks
Donna
