Florida resident AP question!

So my husband and I both are Florida residents. We both have Florida IDs. However, we live in Louisiana because he's in the military. Since we are planning multiple trips this year, we would like to get the Florida resident weekday select annual passes. I just spoke with a cast member (he was from reservations, though!) and he said we wouldn't be eligible! He said we would need a utility bill in addition to our Florida IDs. The website says all I need is a Florida ID, soooo I'm confused. Has anyone else been in this situation? Were you able to get Florida resident passes?

Does your Florida Id have a Florida Address? If so, you have what is listed on their website (see link below). If in doubt I would print the page from their website and take it with me. Maybe because you told the reservations CM that you don't live in Florida. If you have what is required, don't volunteer any additional information.

You only need the ID.

I'm assuming you kept your residency with Florida as military are permitted to do.

Only the state id specifically requires a Florida address. The DL does not.

It also says you can use a Florida-based military ID--not sure what that means.

Yes, my Florida ID has an old Florida address (I no longer live there). I want to set up a payment plan after the down payment and my billing address is not florida, which I think is their problem. I have intentionally kept my Florida residency for situations like this! Haha! It hurts my head to think that the state of Florida recognizes me as a resident but WDW won't!

I did send an email to the pass holders department to see if they could clarify or confirm.

You will be fine as long as you have a Fla address on the DL/ID.

Here is what they will accept:
VALID Florida Driver's License

VALID Florida State issued ID card (MUST have Florida address)

VALID Florida Based Military ID from one of Florida's Military Bases

The persons who will use the Florida Resident adult tickets must be present at the time of ticket pick up. If you do not have one of the IDs indicated above, then for each adult ticket purchased you must provide one of the following dated within the last two months and evidencing a Florida residential address together with a corresponding picture ID (passport, driver's license, state identification card):
•Monthly mortgage statement

•Florida vehicle registration or title

•Homeowner's insurance policy or bill

•Automobile insurance policy or bill

•Utility bill

•Mail from a financial institution, including checking, savings, or investment account statement

•Mail from a Federal, State, County or City government agency

Bills can be no more than two (2) months old. PO Boxes are not accepted as proof of residency. Current bills printed from electronic versions are acceptable, though photocopies and fax copies are not.

I was trying to remember by Dependent ID I had until I graduated college and couldn't remember if maybe it had base of issue.

But then I figured that didn't matter since it wasn't an Active Duty ID.

I assume you would have to show proof that you are stationed in Florida, like orders.

Follow up question:
Should I try to pre order these passes, or just get them once I get there, and show my ID with the Florida address so I can skip the whole "I don't technically live in Florida" issue?
(I'm not super concerned with booking FP+)

You will be fine but you won't be able to set up a payment plan. You do have to use a credit card with a FL billing address to do that.

Could I change my billing address to a family member's address?
A CM told me that a family member could buy them and then put them in my name, but I'm just trying to avoid a payment circle. I want to use the payment plan and pay Disney directly!

A Florida ID is sufficient to get the Annual Pass but Traveliz is correct that to use the payment plan the credit card must have a Florida billing address.

Also, you may (I have been asked sometimes and not asked other times) have to show the credit card to pick up the tickets so unless your family member will be with you that won't work either.

What about if she sets up the payment plan when she arrives at Disney? I don't recall being asked for my billing address at guest relations, just giving them my card, but it's been awhile. We have dual residency as well.

I was finally able to get a moment of peace to call. The CM said to do it in person and I won't have any issues. She said the computer system likes everything to match up perfectly, so I can't do it online or over the phone. But in person, they don't need the billing address, just like you said!
I'm excited! We go to Florida a lot to visit, so having this pass will be great.

Not to be argumentative but if you are setting up the payment plan they will ask for the billing address. I have a home in Florida and tried to set it up at the ticket window using my Illinois credit card and it was not allowed. I also have a Florida bank and credit card for my condo that was allowed.
